The city of New Orleans will have to be put on suicide watch should the Saints lose. To wit:

Maybe next year when Al Davis dies.

Like a Liberal Massachusetts voter holding their nose while they vote for Scott Brown, I'll do a mini-cheer for the Jets to beat the Colts to make the Colts regret letting the Jets in the playoffs. And then the Jets get beat by the Saints in the SB.

And I wonder how upset Giants fans are to see the Jets still in the playoffs. I know at least one Giants fan who wasn't happy about it.

Please, God, let the Jets win. I can't take two weeks of Peytard knobslobbering. I'll even accept a Favre Bowl to keep Peytard out....

It's kind of like Cubs fans saying "maybe next year", down to the similar ages.

My whole fam is Giants fans except me and one other, and honestly every Giants fan I know is rooting for the Jets.

They only play each other once every four years, so the rivalry, if any at all, is good natured.

/Was ecstatic when the Giants beat the Pats in the SB

Manning will be in Miami, sure...to lead his Pro Bowl team again.

I wish this site had sig bets.

That's be cool...a Fark betting site. For each event or day, you get $1000 of FarkMoney. You could post bet offerings, or you could take those bets. You could take the line or offer odds to increase your return. Or you could make up your own wacky bets on the cointoss or how many times they refer to hurricane Katrina. Put up or shut up, you know? Bragging rights for highest return of the day, or highest running balance.

blameitonchemo: nbrfwhoooo: I must really hate the Colts.

Who hates the Colts? I mean, really?

"Boy, I sure hate that really successful team that does things right, always classy, and build a great team from the ground up instead of going out and buying players."

I do. There are just some teams in sports I want to see fail and surprisingly, the Yankees aren't one of them. The Colts, Syracuse lacrosse, the Reds, the Mets, da Bears, Michigan State, the Marlins, Real Madrid, any curlers from Newfoundland and ESPECIALLY the Cowboys.

No rhyme or reason. I just hate them.

mediablitz, if the Colts win, I'll become the Colts' biggest fan. If the Jets win, you have to become their biggest fan. Sound good?

Vikings vs Saints: I think the Vikings have tried their hardest to piss off the karma gods. Pants on the Ground Guy, Prince, Favre, hiring that guy in the van parked across from the elementary school to coach, and the fact that they're named after some scary and not-so-nice Scandinavian dudes. Meanwhile, the Saints are named after people who do good things, their team has done a lot of good for a city that's had some adversity to overcome, and I think the only bad thing they've ever really done is come up with this Who Dat thing. Like you don't know who that is. You see them on TV every week.

Colts vs Jets: I'm only rooting for one player in this game since he's the only person to play professional sports ever out of my high school that graduates, on average, three or four dozen people every year (Flambeau HS in Wisconsin). Can't believe he's starting in his second straight AFC Championship Game.

I'm only rooting for a Vikings-Jets Super Bowl because it makes my job easier. I think Colts-Saints is too obvious. Saints-Jets or Colts-Vikings...I think Colts-Vikings is more likely to happen. So I'll go with that.

I've ditched a family dinner tonight with my future-in-laws so I can stay home and watch the Saints game.

And, since we'll be on our honeymoon for the Super Bowl, I've informed my soon-to-be husband that we WILL be sitting in a bar and watching the game if the Saints are playing. I don't care if he's not a football fan and I don't care that we will be down at Disney.
