jcg316: So does that make Peyton the Second Coming, or the Devil?

Would also accept "Antichrist of Bad Commercials."

2010-01-24 02:56:36 PM
"In an unprecedented occurrence, Jordin Sparks will sing the national anthem...and play in the game!!!"

Sarcastica75: thejoyofpi: DamnYankees: I can't believe all you people rooting the for the Vikes. All year long we've been waiting for Colts-Saints. ALL GODDAMM YEAR! This better happen.

What do you mean "we", paleface?

I've been rooting for Jets-Saints.

I lurve you!

saneyman: Peyton is HUNGRY

Well, he'll be eating a lot of turf, he can fill up on that.

2010-01-24 02:56:38 PM
EAGLE!

2010-01-24 02:57:26 PM
GOOD LUCK J-E-T-S! JETS JETS JETS!

2010-01-24 02:57:27 PM
The live eagle in an enclosed building; this has always bugged me.

2010-01-24 02:57:28 PM
I hope one of these hicks doesn't shoot the Eagle!

2010-01-24 02:57:35 PM
Peyton looks beyond intense...as if he is pissed off or something.

Sanchez looks like he just pooped his pants and wants to find someplace to hide.

That bird is awesome.

2010-01-24 02:57:35 PM
this is the only way any Eagles could make it to a Championship Game this season.

2010-01-24 02:57:41 PM
Pretty good anthem rendition. Only a half dozen sour notes.

2010-01-24 02:57:44 PM
That bird's gotta be scared out of it's farking mind right now.

srhp29: If the Jets have to win this game for some reason (like God forsaking humans for a day), please let Sanchez blow out a knee late in the game so Kellen Clemens gets to play the Super Bowl.

there's nothing classier than hoping someone gets injured. Jackass.

Sarcastica75: EAGLE!

I think we all remember what happened last time a bird got near a New York jet...

2010-01-24 02:58:13 PM
I am willing to bet someone *checks paypal account* 7 dollars to a charity of your choice on a prop bet. Jets get a touchdown within 9 minutes.

If they don't, I pay your charity in your name. If they do, you pay me in mine.

2010-01-24 02:58:23 PM
WhyteRaven74: I'll be glued to the Super Bowl same as every year no matter who is in it, just that seeing Manning and Favre in it would be truly awesome.

I will admit, Manning the Elder vs. Favre has incredible potential.

2010-01-24 02:58:27 PM
I would laugh so hard if that eagle freaked out and started attacking people.

/don't think the eagle in a stadium is a wise decision....

Funny how many times that actually is a pretty good indicator of how the teams do.

Like when a boxer looks scared to death during the ring introductions.

Colts, Saints.
I know it's easy to pick the chalk, but this time it just is the only sensible way to go.

That is all.

prop bet.

Shortest FG in the game, O/U 25.5 yards.

Took the Over.

Good afternoon everyone. Hoping for some entertaining football this afternoon.

Skol Vikings!

MIguy: Goal Penguins

Shhh, last time we talked about hockey in the football thread a bunch of people flipped shiat.

snake_beater: I will admit, Manning the Elder vs. Favre has incredible potential.

It has great Mute potential. And great "avoid ESPN and all sports channels at all costs for two weeks" potential.

snake_beater: I will admit, Manning the Elder vs. Favre has incredible potential.

I can see sparks flying out of the scoreboards by the second quarter. Could well turn into a total shoot out. Sure both teams can play defense, but both have quarterbacks who can make defenses go "Duh, buh, what just happened?".

Game time b*tches.

thejoyofpi: there's nothing classier than hoping someone gets injured. Jackass.

Don't worry, in my scenario he would be back as his below average self by July so he would be ready to go again for next season. It was more about getting Clemens to play in the Super Bowl if I have to watch the Jets play in it than Sanchez getting hurt.

Here, is this better. I hope Sanchez decides to leave football and join the priesthood right after the game if the Jets win. (now more gentle to protect the feelings of whiny Farkers)

2010-01-24 03:01:54 PM
I've got news for you, Mr. Hello Friends. If the Jets win, Sanchez STILL won't be the first rookie QB to lead a team to a Super Bowl.

What's the +/- for posts complaining about the announcers?

My hopes rest with that Defense.

Not to mentiton all the audibles in their mucasy-manly voice.

lol that goal by the Penguins went through the legs of two defenders.

Yeah, that's my biggest problem with the matchup as well.

2010-01-24 03:03:09 PM
My picks:

Colts 35, Jets 10
Vikings 30, Saints 21

MIguy: What's the +/- for posts complaining about the announcers?

I'd set that at about 75.

/likes Nantz/Simms more than Buck/Aikman

jimmiekaska: I have a daily sports talk show an hour away from Minneapolis in Wisconsin. Brett Favre in the Super Bowl? I don't have to do much. Having Leonhard there would be good too--lots of good guests I could bring on the air from the area to talk about it.

Ahhh yes, the simplicity factor of finding guests. Very cool.

You're in Eau Claire now, right?

Well now I have something else to root for. What one thing could be better before a football game than that?

2010-01-24 03:03:24 PM
Hadn't noticed before but Nantz is going pretty bald.
