Yes they are! I think in the first couple of AFC championships, the veteran leadership (including Manning) weren't ready for the big-time. They got rid of those demons by defeating their nemesis, the Patriots after being down 21-6 at halftime.

Manning and the veteran leadership no longer need to be convinced they've got what it takes; they've already been there, done that. I'm sure the mentality will help the young guys, and I see it all working in their favor.

And that will all help them not a whit as the Jets dominate them like they were a dominatrix and the Colts were Cristiano Ronaldo.

Aww. I'll be rooting for your Saints, no doubt. Before last week's games I put a few bucks on Jets to win the AFC at 7-to-1 and a few bucks on Saints-vs-Jets at 17-to-1. I'm trying to decide how much to hedge those bets now.

Nice odds. Rooting for a Saints-Jets Fark the Media Bowl myself.

2010-01-24 04:41:05 AM
There might be a higher percentage of Saints fans in Green Bay than New Orleans this week.

Yeah. That was before the last round, but I thought they were still pretty generous. My brother-in-law snapped up a Vegas sportsbook that farked up: right before the playoffs started, they moved the Jets to 50-1 to win the whole damn thing. He put up $20 on that, and will probably hedge it today. I'm considering going balls out and putting some on Saints-over-Jets at 19-2. Not that I think it's the most likely outcome, just that I think it's over-priced (I think 7-1 or 8-1 would be a good price).

Two more games, Saints. Let's do this!

There may be many things on which we disagree, but today there can only be agreement: fark the Jets.

While I don't have a horse in either of these races per se, I am looking forward to both games- they should be really, really good.

Good luck to all!

I think the real question for the Jets is whether or not Rex Ryan can make it through today without having a heart attack. It's hard to watch their games, the guy makes me so nervous that he might keel over at any time.

IAmRight: And that will all help them not a whit as the Jets dominate them like they were a dominatrix and the Colts were Cristiano Ronaldo.

Keep farking that chicken. If the Colts get a lead early, your rookie QB, Mark "Dirty" Sanchez will panic and Rex Ryan might have that heart attack.

I don't think Sanchez has it in him to pull it off this year. But he's not far off.

SouthernManDunWrong: Go Saints!

I'd love a Colts-Saints superbowl.

I grew up in Indy and New Orleans. Dad works and lives in the French Quarter right now, and Mom works and lives in Indy. Dad was one of those kids selling programs at the first Saints home game (before the Superdome was built.)

/Cool story bro
//Dad has a half-n-half jersey thats half Brees and half Manning

He will, over time, develop into a solid quarterback.

My line up today in a playoff challenge:

Manning, Peyton IND QB
Jones, Thomas NYJ RB
Thomas, Pierre NOS RB
Colston, Marques NOS WR
Wayne, Reggie IND WR
Shiancoe, Visanthe MIN TE
Feely, Jay NYJ PK
Saints, New Orleans NOS Def

/can only play each guy once during playoffs
//last week didn't do so hot- thanks Warner

2010-01-24 09:21:39 AM

Not even 6:30 here and I am already awake. No chance of getting back to sleep. Haven't been this geeked for a game since the Colts Superbowl win.

GO COLTS!!!

I think so, too. He's just one or two good years away from turning into a top tier QB.

/If he just had a decent O line...

If the Saints advance, I would consider getting scalped and go to the game.

/I would have to embezzle $$$$$ to go.

//I would happily go back to jail.

Grew up in LA, moved to IN a few years back. Not the biggest NFL fan overall, but I love the Saints and Colts. It's going to be great with the both of them in the Superbowl.

From my bookitdone predictions:

IND 31, NYJ 13
NO 27, MIN 21
1 FG/XP miss
1 Gratuitous Katrina Satellite/Aerial shot
2 "Pants on the Ground"
9 Things coming out of Phil Simms' mouth that make you want to ask him if he's retarded
14 references to Super Bowl III, 6 by Berman alone.

I believe Berman has pushed the over in just the first hour of coverage.

I have to get to my local bar at maybe 1:30 to even get a seat for the 5.30 Saints game. Freaking crazy down here.

14? You're nuts. More like 30-40. 14 isn't even a joke, they'll cover that easily.
