Well, I've been saying that for a while now. I've posted in both threads, so there.

I had Not Breathing's "Event Horizon EP" on Visible, and a rare blue 7" from him in addition to his normal CDs. Wish I still had them. :(

Meh. Those look much cooler than they sound. I'm sure that someone will claim that when layered over a repetitive drum loop (sounding something like a broken copy machine), these things sound better than god's farts.

Awesome, 12 varieties of fart machines.

Autechre does noise a hell of a lot better.

No, not really.

It's Kid606's world, we're just living in it.

At about 26 seconds into the first video, all I could think of was "...and a large orange drink."

/Obscure?

Glitchwerks: Kid606

I said noise, not endless repeating loops. Not quite the same thing and the crunchy random but rhythmic shiat Autechre is brilliant at.

Besides, this guy came on the scene 10 years after the fact.

He's doing nothing I haven't heard before by other people. I'm not saying he sucks, but how are you gonna act like his music isn't derivative of stuff that came long before he was making music? There's nothing original that I have found so far, but if you want to prove me wrong, by all means post a link.

Not to anyone who has ever listened to Dr. Demento.

As for the gadgets... I prefer my music to be, well, musical.

Actually, I was just trying to start a nerd noise fight. Everyone knows the king of noise is Merzbow anyway.

But stop sucking off Autechre, please. They are the most pretentious dorks out there, none of their stuff has been listenable since Tri Repeatae. Their fans, along with Aphex's, are the nerds sucking the soul out of electronic dance music and turning it into white, pasty geekomusic that will never shake a single ass, unless the listener is on crystal meth.

/Woo hoo! Electronic music flame war on Fark!

I thought I heard that on the radio once, but it turned out that the dial was just between stations.

Unless you mean this guy is from the 1920s, you're wrong.

Futurism is past.

Don't know much on this topic, but here's another strange noisemaker. This fella Quintron from New Orleans made this for his band. It's been a while since I have watched him or this video, but I recall this thing called the drum buddy uses light to change the sound.

Precisely as I was reading this, some guy in the hall ripped a huge fart, and I actually LOLed.

I've actually made music using those elements so I'm getting a kick yadda yadda yadda.

Best response I ever got was when I was mixing down my own special version of "You Light up My Life" which was done as a duet where the 'sung' melody was done with sampled farts and belches trading off parts. The choruses had a lovely toilet flush in tune with the rest. Anyway not 5 minutes after I finished mixing it the cops were knocking on my door with a report of "strange noises". I honestly had no clue what they were talking about and sent them on their way, later realizing that they'd been referring to my music. Guess a neighbor thought someone was crapping themself to death accompanied by a cello.

I know I know cool story bro.
