Good night, burlyman...

2010-01-12 02:53:47 PM
Really sad story. RIP Coney Island man.

but did he have a beard?

2010-01-12 02:55:33 PM
Was the article penned by F. Scott Fitzgerald or H.P. Lovecraft?

fta:
Police said that when Joe died neither was it related to speeding nor alcohol.

RIP Joe Rogan.

Amazing life. Pretty impressive that they had to run him over to kill him. He was still bending quarters in his teeth at 103.

2010-01-12 02:56:57 PM
not sure which would be more painful, being hit by a car or being forced to read that article again. apparently there are some things you just can't outsource

2010-01-12 02:57:02 PM
Did a six-year-old write this article? Seriously.

Ironic way to go.

damn, that's a shame. 104 and still walking around. I hope I can be doing that. But I still do not want my passing to be a Fark headline. At the least, please let it involve 19 year old hookers and blow.

FTA: Joe weighed 68kgs at his career's peak and was considered one of the strongest men for his size.

Damn... 150lbs and able to lift 3200lbs. That doesn't seem right.

I'm not saddened by this at all. Not that I'm glad, but fark me, he lived to 104; that's at least thirty years longer than an average American male. Better like this than in a hospital bed, shiatting and drooling on himself.

2010-01-12 03:02:22 PM
FTFA: He had once lifted a whooping 3200lb.

Whooping, indeed.

I'm going to be lifting 3200lbs. in smaller incraments (12oz.) so I can make it to 104.

I know Bettman has been aggressive in courting sun belt markets, but India might be biting off a little more than the NHL can chew.
