And no TV.

After all, denile is a river in Egypt.
2003-04-08 06:41:46 AM
Easy to misinterpret the headline. Khalil's in Egypt, but he's the Iraqi Ambassador to the Arab League.
2003-04-08 07:23:25 AM
Oh, yeah.. I thought an Egyptian said that.
2003-04-08 07:23:28 AM
in other news, man to fly to the sun - apart from some technicalities.

I love how the Iraqi (Dis-)Information Minister stands there at his "press confereneces" and all but makes shiat up.

My favorite so far was last week when he claimed the U.S. was 100 hundred miles from Baghdad when the "free world" media was reporting that the troops could see the city with their own eyes (within 20 miles).

Now that I think about it, it's really sort of pathetic and sad.
2003-04-08 08:43:05 AM
I can't wait for the Minister of Information to be talkin smack about how we are a thousand miles away and comitting suicide in droves while a Bradley rolls up behind him and some Jarines get out and start waving to mom.

I've noticed that they're really knocking the hell out of that Hollywood sound stage. Spielberg is going to be pissed.

Asked what had happened to the elite Republican Guard divisions around Baghdad, who have offered much less resistance than expected, Khalil said they "are everywhere, not only in Baghdad but in many other places."

Well, I suppose he's right. After all, those bombs hit them pretty hard, and doubtlessly spread pieces of them over much of Iraq.

Khalil accused U.S. forces of choosing Iraqi targets with secondary military importance, but public significance, such as Saddam Hussein International Airport in Baghdad.

Airports = not being of military significance?!? Has this guy been drinking camel piss?
2003-04-08 10:55:28 AM
That's a pretty good trick, liar.
2003-04-08 10:55:50 AM
In some ways, Iraq has won. It has rallied the rest of the World against the US.

The battle of Iraq is almost over. The war to reign in U.S. foreign diplomacy is just beginning.

Just because he's standing in Egypt, doesn't make him the Egyptian ambassador. This quote if from the Iraqi ambassador (to the Arab League).

IdeasGuy - Right. The entire world, with the exception of the 40-some-odd nations that diplomatically support us, and the three other countries (UK, Australia and Poland) that have committed significant military assests to this operation.

But yup, beyond that, everyone hates us.
2003-04-08 10:59:44 AM
Amusing Indeed.

Here's the latest from the Iraqi Information Minister:

I think Microsoft should hire this guy.

Israel pushed America to wage war on Iraq and provided equipment and training to U.S. soldiers, Iraq's ambassador to the Arab League said Monday.

Yep, that's it. The tiny nation of Israel, that is much younger than the US, is schooling us militarily and arming us, because we don't know squat about war.

Saddam International wasn't of any military importance to Iraq. They had no functioning air force.

But to the USA...that's different. I watched Ted Koppel last night touring the airport VIP lounge. I bet our troops were glad to see those soft chairs and bed.

2003-04-08 11:03:36 AM
Man this ambassador is a smart cookie..

But then again we all know that the whole war is just a zionistic conspiracy to empower the evil jews to crush the palestinians.

or maybe.. just maybe.. Iraq has the oil and Dubbie has a vendetta... so any further reports of the drums of pesticide .. oh I mean the sarin nerve gas.
2003-04-08 11:03:49 AM
RabidWeasel..he meant San Francisco.
2003-04-08 11:03:49 AM
Makes me laugh once again....
2003-04-08 11:03:50 AM
RabidWeasel, good thing we have the backing of places like the Marshall Islands and Sao Tome and Principe.

And support of the governments of 40 nations doesn't equal the support of the people of 40 nations. And there's still like, what, 150 other nations?

Palexc: Israel is influential in US politics and they are happy to see Iraq taken down.

Behind the scenes I'm sure they're helping us in any way they can. Publicly they have to stay out.
2003-04-08 11:04:48 AM
I can only imagine how big this guy claims he weener is.
2003-04-08 11:05:06 AM
Both of those guys are going to be working the Catskills when this is all over.

Can you say "sour grapes"?
2003-04-08 11:05:42 AM
They won't admit it even when an M-1 has it's barrel shoved up their arse on TV, now that would be a good photoshop ROFLMAO
2003-04-08 11:06:00 AM
Palexc, actually, there is some trainin for forces that's done in Israel. I mean, we gotta get out money's worth of th 12 billion a year we give that young and tiny nation.

Arabs will never get credibility in my world until they can talk about a problem in their world without ilicitingthe name of Isreal.

And I don't really have that much of an opinion on Isreal either way. They've created some of their own problems as well, but, DAMN!

Israel pushed America to wage war on Iraq and provided equipment and training to U.S. soldiers, Iraq's ambassador to the Arab League said Monday.

Unfortunately, there are people (lots of them) in the Arab League who'll eat this up. Stupid farkers
2003-04-08 11:09:19 AM
The Iraqi Information Minister could have a great career ahead of him as a spokesman for the democratic party.
2003-04-08 11:09:49 AM
Palexc, actually, there is some trainin for forces that's done in Israel. I mean, we gotta get out money's worth of th 12 billion a year we give that young and tiny nation.

I could be wrong, but I thought that was mainly security and anti-terror training, not general military training.

I'm not saying we ignore Israel. I'm just poking fun at the way that statement makes it look like we're relying on Israel for training and equipment.
2003-04-08 11:10:30 AM
Is there an arab in the world that doesn't talk sh*te?

2003-04-08 11:10:43 AM
Did anyone see that game last night, wow? That was way better than this pseudo-war.
2003-04-08 11:10:44 AM
The problem is that it is somewhat correct - victory for Iraq in this situation has never been a military objective. Their goal from the onset has been to cause as much of a hassle as possible and they have somewhat succeeded in that endeavor. Militarily we are experiencing undeniable success, politically we will be in for a completely different situation. I think we should talk to historians rather than Blair over in the UK and see how great the liberation from the Ottoman empire went.

Just because this has been a cakewalk doesn't make it right and doesn't mean it will continue to be easy..

Some one thinks of a way to make this a joke about the french.

tried myself but cant think of anything. Tha article is great though

Hmmm... Well, this comes from a country that lost it's whole air force to Israel in about 15 minutes. Another farking camel jackey pipe dream...these people couldn't fight off a cold. And, by the by all you dumbarses keep forgetting WW2 that WE didn't start either. We had to bail out all these countries that hate us. ...why, hell, I have no idea now. Compared to all these butfarks, Hitler was a nice guy.

Who cares ...? They love our money ,jeans and cheezeboogers.

Ari Fleischer and Iraqi Information Moron seem to be seperated at birth but they still have that unique flair for smug arrogance.
