Wow that is nuts. I from reading it sounds like it is more like the family housing for grad/doctoral/post doc people that most colleges have. Not a dorm. Most colleges won't let you live in a dorm after 24/25 even if you are undergrad. This is odd to me, but I'm not Canadian so what do I know.

It's OK. I like the unwarranted over-reaction. It is much better than Canadian feigned sincerity. The truth hurts at first. But now that I have enlightened you to the truth, it may set you free. In downtown Vancouver, the buses lower to sidewalk level as well as having a wheelchair ramp. Waiting for a bus one day with a woman in her early 60's, who had one of those wheeled walker things. The bus driver pulled up & lowered the bus to sidewalk level. She wheels up to the bus and SCREAMS "I AM DISABLED!! WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOU!? CAN'T YOU SEE I NEED THE GODD**M RAMP!?" So he lowers the ramp and as she's wheeling her walker onto it, she screams (and honestly, she's shrieking at top volume) "I SAW THAT LOOK! I'M SO SICK OF YOU DRIVERS! TREATING DISABLED ELDERLY LIKE TRASH! I AM REPORTING YOU! I HAVE HAD IT!" To which the driver calmly replied, "Look? I had to look at you to lower the ramp, which I am happy to do for anyone who requests it. By pulling your walker up to the bus, in the way of the ramp, I mistakenly thought you did not require it. All you have to do is ask." The old bat not only keeps shouting about how horribly he's treated an elderly disabled woman, but spends the duration of her ride trying to get everyone sitting near her to agree with her about what an evil, horrible man the driver was to NOT notice that she's elderly and clearly disabled.

I really wanted to kick her walker over. People like that...
