There is nothing more disgusting than when they drain the River so they can rehab the boat tracks and the Fantasmic pyro. It reeks to high heaven and there are more fish and duck carcasses on the bottom than you can shake a stick at. I have heard at times there have been quite large turtles and even eels in the water too.

There are lots of wallets, jewelry and cameras too, though, and I expect the divers will be gathering those up. Probably nobody will want them back....

i've seen what they came up with last time they drained it, cool shiat. but they do this every once in a while especially since they made fantasmic so it isn't as cool as if they'd only done it once or twice.

Is it weird that I'm a 24-year-old man with no kids and find myself missing Disneyland? I haven't been there since I was 15 or 16, but desperately want to go again.

Without being a part of a larger group, however, I get the feeling people would just assume I was either immature or a pervert (which I am, but that's beside the point).

Worked there 9 soul-killing years in the 1990's-2000's in security. (Just kidding about the soul-killing) I know lots of gory details, though things have changed since I last was there in 2004, not for the better. I left mainly because of the infuriatingly contradictory "safety" measures being taken to prevent "terrorist" attacks.

It was fun, but the management took all steps possible to minimize staff enjoyment.

No.

Is it weird that the only person dissappointed in not getting to meet Mickey Mouse at his house would be the 25 yr old in the back whining "I dont want to meet MIGHTY MOUSE. I want Mickey!" :D

EVERY person in my group was all like "I DON'T KNOW HER!" :D

The funny thing is that I've never even thought of that. My last visit was a short time prior to 9/11, so I haven't had to consider how the management must've changed.

Depends on what you do there. Like eat or buy some stuff for memories. THOSE cost an arm and a leg. When I went one little chicken strip on a stick was like five bucks and a small bag of mickey lollipops were like 14. That was over 10 years ago so I can imagine what the prices are now. It's not hard to spend 300 dollars at Disneyland.

Man, I love that Rocket Age/1964 World's Fair style. It almost makes me kind of sad that people back then had this really cool idea of the future, and the real thing sort of sucks in comparison.

I think the Venture Bros. captures that sentiment perfectly.

I have done shows for corporate clients at DisneyWorld for a decade and the crew came up with a new slogan for them.

If you are at any of the Disney Resorts, they say to you "Have a Magical Day!"

The crew changed that to "Have a Magical F@rking Day!"
