The 1667-ft., 101-story building has 67 elevator units, including two that service the 89th-floor observation deck and qualify as the world's fastest. These rocket skyward at a peak speed of 3314 ft. per minute (fpm), more than 800 fpm faster than the previous record holder in Japan's Yokohama Landmark Tower. By comparison, an airline pilot normally maintains a climb, or descent rate, of no more than 1000 fpm.
3314 (feet per minute) = 37.6590909 mph

The American math is easy for converting 64km/h.

64,000 minutes per hour/60 minutes per hour is 1,067 miles per minute, because unitless quantities automatically default to imperial measurement units.

Then divide that by 4 pi, because the world is a sphere, and you get roughly 85 miles per minute.

Then round it up to 100 because you actually started with a metric quantity.

But in Mass Effect, a game where humans have mastered space travel, elevators go 1 foot a minute.
