FTFA:

Fox News: All American New Year: Bill Hemmer and Megyn Kelly host from New York, with "some of the hottest musical guests" (Diamond Rio, Lee Greenwood, and Matt Goss). With special appearances from Miss America 2009 and The USO Singers.

Who, isn't he dead, and who?

I'm not sure what we'll be watching. The new year's eve party at my friend's house has four basic elements:

1: Booze
2: Excellent food
3: Friends
4: Fireworks

After that, it's ad-lib all the way, baybee ;)

I've seen a dozen twilight zone marathons but nary a 3 stooges marathon. If I wasn't working, the choice would be clear

Well at least we now know there is going to be nothing good on TV for a couple of days, nothing new.

The Twilight Zone. You were either dead all along or in an alien zoo. That's pretty much it. Oh and you like to read and your glasses broke.

They already do that 5 days a week.

I've already went through the two days of shows, and set about 50 of them to record. I seriously look forward to the TZ marathon all year, and every time I tell myself "I'm going to fork over the 140$ for the box set this year" but never do.

Nothing goes better with TV marathons than my Famous Tequila Holiday Cake. So I'm sharing the recipe:

1 cup sugar
1 tsp. baking powder
1 cup water
1 tsp. salt
1 cup brown sugar
Lemon juice
4 large eggs
Nuts
1 bottle tequila
2 cups dried fruit

Sample the tequila to check quality. Take a large bowl; check the tequila again to be sure it is of the highest quality..

Repeat.

Turn on the electric mixer. Beat one cup of butter in a large fluffy bowl.

Add 1 teaspoon of sugar. Beat again.

At this point, it is best to make sure the tequila is sstill OK. Try another cup just in case.

Turn off the mixerer thingy.

Break 2 eegs and add to the bowl and chuck iin the cup of dried fruit.

Pick the fruit up off the floor.

Mix on the turner.

Iff the fried druit getas stuck in the beaterers, just pry it loose with a drewscriver.

Sample the tequila to test for tonsisticity.

Next, sift 2 cups of salt, or something.

Check the tequila. You knows hows.

Now shift the lemon juice and strain your nuts.

Add one table.

Add a spoon of sugar, or somefink. Whatever you can find.

Greash the oven.

Turn the cake tin 360 degrees and try not to fall over.

Don't forget to beat off the turner

Finally, throw the bowl through the window.

Finish the tequila and wipe the counter with the cat

Watch one episode of Barney, switch to an episode of Zone, repeat. For specific episodes, if shown back t back, make up for it by watching two of the other on its next turn.

Do networks do this because they can't compete with football? Seriously, who is going to watch this crap? I may devote one tivo tuner to recording some of this stuff, but it won't get watched until after the playoffs.

And WTF, Discovery Channel? "Ghost Lab"? Isn't it time to get rid of that piece of crap, or at least offload it to some lesser channel like TLC or TBN or CMT or The Oogity-Boogity Network or something? I was forced to watch about 10 minutes of that show once, and I'm still waiting for my refund.
