Did they subpoena their own computers by chance?

This is the second time in a month that the TSA has found some of its sensitive airline security documents on the Internet.

Really? Maybe the TSA should be looking within its own ranks for the problem.

Too logical, this is the TSA we're talking about here.

They seem to be better hunting down bloggers than bombers.

If they implement those new nearly-naked scanners, the TSA will be seeing a lot of sub-penas.

Although I will take FMS's advice and work up a stiffy before going through such a scanner. It's either that, or a pony-play buttplug.

That's the ONLY reason why the headline fails? Really?

Maybe the TSA should think about hiring people with at least a high school education.

The biggest fail here is this douchebag bending over to the TSA "Agents". I certainly realize that with a family to think about, that's one thing, but a subpoena is not a warrant, and this is farking america. farking pussy. Let yourself be strong-armed by the lowest-common-denominator of the brown shirts.

I went through airport security today. The first thing I had to do was go through the fires of hell. After being badly burned, I was beaten by airline security. They claimed that they thought I was black. Then finally, my wife and two daughters proceeded through the metal detector and were crushed by a ceiling piston, much like those seen in the Sonic the Hedgehog video games.

That was the final straw. I returned to the ticket counter and demanded a refund, and settled on a five dollar certificate towards my next flight. I will never fly again. Please send this to ten of your friends and loved ones or I will dunk on your kid's basketball hoop and shatter the backboard.

This is why I've refused to fly since 2001.

It may take longer but it's not worth the shiat.

I realize now that the article about which my previous comment was directed was a different source, although the subject is more or less the same. The fact is that when the TSA shows up at my house with a "subpoena" and asking to copy my hard drives (just check the articles), then I would be a little less of a biatch to these government, useless hacks.

Hang on a sec, someone's knocking on my door. BRB.

If people would just follow the rules of the airport there wouldn't be so much of an issue. So many people have this strange sense of entitlement that breaks down to, "Hey, I'm white, don't screen me." When you go into a restaurant and see a sign that says, "No Shirt, No Shoes, No Dice.", do you get all upset about or just put on a damn shirt?

America, put on a damn shirt.

Do you actually know anything about airline security, or are you talking out your bunghole again? TSA sets the "no fly" list that airlines, foreign & domestic, have to check prior to letting passengers board US-bound flights. They also set the screening protocols that foreign airports have to use for screening passengers on those same flights. Now slink back to your hole before I have to smack you down again.

FTA: Frischling said he met with two TSA special agents Tuesday night at his Connecticut home for about three hours and again on Wednesday morning when he was forced to hand over his lap top computer. Frischling said the agents threatened to interfere with his contract to write a blog for KLM Royal Dutch Airlines if he didn't cooperate and provide the name of the person who leaked the memo.

Uh, unless they show up with an actual law enforcement officer that has a warrant, there's no way in hell people like that are going to come into my home. They can serve their subpoena all they want, but after that get the hell off of my property.

Seriously, this is gestapo shiat.

That's my solution, yes. I flew last in 2002. It was bad enough then to make me never want to fly again. I can't imagine how docile most people must be if it's even WORSE now and people are still flying. Don't you people have any self-respect? Or are you all just giant wussies that can't take a few hours behind the wheel?

So if some idiot at a foreign airport doesn't follow the protocols set in place by the TSA, I guess that is somehow the TSA's fault?

God, you're dense.

first off, the TSA doesn't really have anything to do with the Amsterdam case, second, if there's a leak in the TSA that is broadcasting sensitive information about how potential threats will be detected, then that person needs to be fired.

I don't fly. Not paying anyone to treat me like cattle or a terrorist. Even worse than the TSA is the thought of the armed Air Marshals - like the ones that shot Rigo Alpizar in the back and then said he threatened he had a bomb. If you thought someone had a bomb on them, would you really shoot them? The dude had a panic attack and was shot by a couple of armed idiots.

And probably even worse than the TSA and the Air Marshals is the thought of flying with a bunch of half-cocked, Chuck Norris wannabees. This country is fuggin nuts, and the thought of having some psycho freeper make the assessment that I'm a threat is more than I can stand.

...and then their are the FAWAs (flight attendants with attitude).

Not only do I drive instead of fly, I try to avoid going within 100 miles of a US border. I also waste time telling my representatives that I LIKE the 4th Amendment and would like it put back into full force please. The sad thing is I don't have anything to hide, I just hate the idea of being bullied in the name of safety.

A possible response:

"Dear Transportation Security Administration,

I refuse to turn over custody of my private property to you and your agents unless I am presented with a search warrant. Until then, you can kiss my black ass. Thank you and have a nice day.

TSA doesn't have anything to do with airline security at all. They're just the most annoying theater guild in history. Every terrorist attack has either been thwarted in the planning stages by investigative agencies before anyone boards a plane, or by passengers.

Why doesn't the TSA fire that person after an internal investigation? Are they too incompetent to keep track of what their own people do? How good are they at security if they are not already keeping track of that internally?

Why shouldn't they get a warrant to see a journalist's computer? Also, shouldn't the journalist have a right to a lawyer and the right to keep a source confidential? Doesn't the right to privacy and freedom of speech mean anything?

Yes but on Tuesdays you have to wear white shirts. Then on even numbered days, your shirt cannot match your shoes. When Friday's date is a prime number, you have to hold your plate over your head for five minutes before you start eating. ID must be presented by all people at the table if anyone within 10 feet is drinking alcohol. Hats are forbidden unless required . . .

do you see where I'm going? It's all busywork. It's all feelgood nonsense.

When you're trying to find a leak in a roof do you look outside where the rain is hitting or inside where the water is falling?

Just asking since your comment was somewhat stupid.

I moved from Wisconsin to Florida last spring, and it took two full days of driving. Last weekend, I drove to the airport at 5:30am, waited 10 minutes at the ticket counter, took 5 minutes to get through security, and boarded the plane 10 minutes after getting to the gate. Direct flight. Even with a train from the airport to my brother's apartment, by noon I was back asleep in his spare bedroom.

One of these things was ten times better than the other.
