Sweat was gathered from polyester pads attached to the armpits of the men. The "normal" sweat was taken during a 20-minute session in which the men were asked to watch educational videos. Then the men watched 20 minutes of an erotic video, during which the "sexual" sweat was gathered.

The women were exposed to the two different scents and researchers indicated that the brain activity of the women showed that they recognized the scents and responded to them.

Dr. Chen said the "sexual" sweat lit up different regions of the participants' brains, leading to the conclusion that the female brain is capable of recognizing the smell of a man who is attracted to her.

What? How the hell is this the logical conclusion? Even assuming that there are two types of sweat, normal and sexual, all that the female brain can pick up is the fact that the man who was sweating during porn movies was turned on by the porn movies. It has nothing to do with his being attracted to *her* unless she was the one in the porn movie.

I agree, the conclusion is faulty. All this study shows is that a woman is capable of recognizing the scent of a man who is attracted to "something", not necessarily her.
