Really, all you had to do was think about where the photo was taken from.

Obviously, the chicks weren't going to be frolicking around in the altogether right offshore, or even in the vicinity of another unknown boat and for all his horn-doggery, JFK was not about to just publicly flaunt his association with bimbos like that. And this was before the papparazzi-with-giant-lenses days.

From these, one can deduce that the photographer had to be: (i) fairly close by, and (ii) familiar and non-threatening to the people involved. Once you reach those assumptions, the conclusion that it was part of a staged photoshoot becomes highly likely.

Sounds like he did: Forensic analyst Sedlik superimposed an image of Kennedy taken at the Democratic National Convention in August 1956, just days before Kennedy went on the Mediterranean cruise. Sedlik says the features from the two pics almost precisely sync up. TMZ has also had two Kennedy biographers examine the photo -- they also believe JFK is in the picture.
