I now inform you that you are too far from reality. I have detailed information about the situation ... which completely proves that what they allege are illusions. There is no suppression in Iran. In fact, Iran cannot contemplate infidel thoughts of that nature. Ahmadinejad is the father of his people. He is beloved by all citizens of Iran. These criminal accusations will surely be met with eternal hellfire and damnation.

They deserve suppression.

She had lips that could break a horse in half? Either you've got a misplaced modifier, Mr. Hammer, or one ugly broad in a cheap rented dress.

I hope there is revolution in Iran. They don't need our help to do it though.

The Iranians can do this, I believe the Obama Administration stands with the Iranian people but understands that in order for Iranians to accomplish a revolution, it has to be perceived as the will of the Iranian people, not an American President.

Are you suggesting we took soldiers from our perfectly quaint, developed, materialistic metropolis and sent them to a desert shiathole for the strict purposes of owning an oil pipeline?

Why not? Other government entities and corporate shills probably do too. Hell, you'd think there would be more active real-time posting by any government that is concerned with the public sphere.

RockIsDead: And if it fails and hundreds of thousands get sent to the gallows...well... that's just how it works.

Pretty much, that's why they're rare I guess. It's not like we could invade them or anything, since our military is already bogged down in two wars. At this point, a subtle 'go team' is about the best that can be done.

During the last period of unrest, the Iranian leadership tried to convince people it was an American led revolution to divide loyalty.

The less involved the US appears to be, the more the Iranians believe it's their movement, as it should be.

Obviously, it's obvious; but ask family/coworkers where Iraq/Iran/Afghanistan are on a map and I'll bet 10 out of 10 can't do so.

Will we be at war with Iran during Obama's presidency? I'll put it at 90% favorable.

Instead the war being over invisible WMD, this time it'll be because of invisible nuclear weapons/reactors.

Will we ever run out of boogey men?

How come I cannot find a statement on any sanctioned White House site? This is the exact language put out on by a blog writer I saw earlier, and now it is being attributed to the White House?

So that's a start, at least.

Oppressed the masses? Oh, you mean like the way we brow beat and belittle a) the majority of people that wanted Bush to have a second term or b) the brilliant folks on the left that are fine with the huge tax increases coming our way just to get a health care bill?

This is america, all you need to do is pick a side then you can irrationally hate half the people here without any thought at all.

FYI, if you can't see it, both a and b are stupid.

This: http://www.reuters.com/article/idUSTRE5BQ1PC20091227
appears to be the report that is being re-reported, but, it is not sourced, nor can be found on any .gov site, nor through any search engine?

I want a real statement from anyone in the White House supporting the citizens, not Ahmadinnerjacket.
