the most appalling sexual abuse

The allegedly-appalling abuse goes otherwise undescribed. I want a mandatory style guide for crime reporting. Sex offenses must be graded on a curve. For each "brutal" attack there must be one "gentle", and so forth.

The boy was charged with indecent assault but the case was dropped when he admitted the offence and was given a final warning - the youth equivalent of a caution. He was not placed on the Sex Offenders' Register.

Northumberland council said the boy was 'doing well with foster parents and at a new school'.

Well, there you go. Case closed. Spit spot.

You would think a "nanny state" would have figured out this kid needed to be locked up in a juvenile psych ward...

How do you attack sex? And what experience points to get you for killing it?

styckx: How do you attack sex?

You tell endless lies about it, using the word "abstinence" often.

ZAZ: the most appalling sexual abuse

The allegedly-appalling abuse goes otherwise undescribed.

Being England, it most likely consisted of purple nurples and slapping butts.

2009-12-26 02:20:12 PM
I hate how the UK media is never allowed to give even the simplest details on some crimes; can't name either kid, can't name the school, can't name the parents, can't show a photo of the parents, they can't even describe what the crime was beyond, "most appalling sexual abuse."

That's some good reporting there, guys! I'll be sure to look out for this kid.

Gentle: Copping a feel on the playground
Brutal: Shoving a live piranha up someone's butt
Atrocious: Being forced to watch Paris Hilton'e sex video without a barf bag handy.

if 10 is the age of criminal responsibility, then I'd get a bunch of 9 year olds to cut this kid's peepee off... that would solve the problem.

Maybe they could put him up for adoption in Oklahoma?

Another symptom of the retarded systems in place that will never believe a child is inherently bad.

Yes, there are bad children. It's not even always the parents' fault. Some people are pieces of shiat.

Uh, that happens in the US as well, even for adult females, even when they are the abuser and a male is the victim.

So this kid is now in another public school? If I were the parent of the victim, I'd be BROADCASTING this child's name. I bet I could convince a jury of my peers that I shouldn't be punished for it, either.

gluck with that. First your kid gets "sex attacked" then you get sued for everything.

If he'd abused my kid & got placed back in public school he'd just suddenly disappear. I'd have a solid alibi & he'd never be found.

In a perfect world, the person who made the call to send him to a school with the knowledge that he would likely harm another child, with a psychiatric profile stating such, and willingly endangering other children, would be charged as an accessory to the crime.

2009-12-26 04:47:45 PM
Well, does he fondle girls, and look up their skirts, or does he attack them and rape them? There's a difference.

video man: Well, does he fondle girls, and look up their skirts,

article states the gender of his victims

2009-12-26 04:56:05 PM
This happens everywhere, all the time. Kids just move and switch schools, and transcripts can easily be "lost". The babysitting service that we call a public school system has no right to know what a kid has done in the past. Even when the information is made availabe to the administration, it is never passed along to the teachers.

Violent little snowflakes are basically vested with the right to be repeat offenders.

2009-12-26 04:56:59 PM
The UK really doesn't want to believe that their children can be criminal. For years my house was egged on their way to school, my property was heavily damaged along with my car and other personal property. When contacted, the police would tell me that there is nothing they can do, and that I had to call the school.

Then they wonder why the need to ban things like scissors.

Not to the extent it does in the UK. And most of the reason they do it is because they're not legally allowed to divulge anything. The result is yo7u have a complete non-story.

They might as well just write, "An 11 year old foster boy committed a sex crime against a classmate. Authorities are dragging ass to do anything about it."

Those two sentences give just as much info as that whole article.

So the appearance of the word "grooming" caused me to go try and learn more.

wikipedia

Ignorance was bliss.

But I can see how this would go under the radar so easily for the family involved; if an adult does these things it's a warning sign, but for a kid it just seems like ordinary friends?

As far as I'm concerned, all children are amoral sociopaths.

Those who survive childhood and learn to function in society gain the reward of being able to do almost anything they want as long as it doesn't interfere with others.

This kid was probably severely abused when he was younger. He needs help, not imprisonment. (Although he probably shouldn't be in public schools until he can restrain himself more...)

2009-12-26 05:20:25 PM
from the comments section.
"Public safety should take precedence over individual rights. We have a duty to help the offender, but we have a far greater duty to protect people from him."

/care to guess why this statement scares the shiat out of me?

Children *are* generally amoral, though dunno about sociopaths. In general, they definitely do have care for standards of social behavior, have empathy, etc.

/being amoral is rather freeing in its own right, however

Was this article written by a second grader? Appalling grammatical errors, and horrible sentence structure. My eyes started to bleed after the first paragraph.
