Must be time for bed. When they kissed I for some reason had it in my head that the bride was kissing the bridesmaid. I was like "damn if the bridesmade get that, the grooms gonna be a happy dude!"

I wonder if either one has died yet.

/Sweet story though.

If it were Capra, they both would. Even if it were only implied. They'd die happy, but the irony would be that they died when they finally got there. Capra's actually a LOT darker than people tend to realize. People generally see the Hallmark surface but somehow willfully overlook his far more bitter undertones.

Capra films don't really say Isn't Life Wonderful? or even Life Could Be Wonderful If. If you watch them and pay closer attention, they mostly ironically say Life Would Be Wonderful If, But Of Course It Usually Isn't.

This. That's why I love 'em.

As for "did they die by now," it reminds me of a friend of mine who went to her daughter's wedding. The groom stood up and announced another newlywed couple--the bride's 88 year old grandma and her 96 year old hubby, who she quietly married earlier that week. He died 3 months later. That was the 3rd hubby she buried.

It looked like they were propping each other up when they kissed.
Sweet story though.

Death by Misadventure: Since they can't have children this is an abomination in the eyes of G-d!

But really old women can get pregnant! It says so in the Invisible Sky Wizard's Book! (KJV, at least.)
