I would just like to say that there is no drink ever invented that is tastier and will get you effed up quicker and cheaper than Fresca and Wal*Mart Premium Vodka.

You can argue all you want, but we refer to it as the quicker-farker-upper, and that makes it divine law.

If you like vodka better than bourbon, there is something fundamentally wrong with you, and you should be beaten about the head, neck, shoulders, and chest.

Bourbon. Or a good scotch. Vodka's ok as a mixer, but I'd never drink it strait.

Vodka is ethanol and water, ethanol is ethanol, and it will all get you farked up in exactly the same way, at the same speed.

Also, if you prefer vodka to whiskey, you have no penis.

Kyndig: Bourbon. Or a good scotch. Vodka's ok as a mixer, but I'd never drink it strait.

There's a lot of good flavoured Vodkas out there that are really good on the rocks with no mixes. Van Gogh Dutch Caramel Vodka being the best one of them all.

So basically vodka with the mixer already added.

I don't want to be a dick at Christmas, but Jack isn't technically a bourbon. Now a little Knob Creek, Maker's Mark, or even better Woodford Reserve and I'll be a happy man.

What sort of drink is this magical vodka you're talking about here? Is it like Vodak, full of burning, alcohol, and win?

Besides, everyone knows it's:

Cognac > Single Malt Whisky > Vodak > Whiskey > Bourbon > Rum in terms of hard liquor. (Tequila I've not had, and Rum is mostly mixed drinks while Vodak can be had straight up ice cold and nigh frozen).

As for Vodak, Murican Vodaks are quite delicious. Blue Ice is decent but the best is by a texan named Tito.

Them's good Vodak.

I didn't say anything about it being a bourbon. I just stated what I wanted.

Too true. Mix your Vodak with whatever you want, I'll have a Pappy Van Winkle or a Bookers with one small ice cube. If those aren't available, I'll take Woodford Reserve, Maker's Mark, or Knob Creek. Vodak got the boot after high school for me.

I like this.

I'm not a fan of vodka because the better a vodka is, the less flavor it has... I also prefer gin to vodka. Vodka is good for adding kick to fruity tiki drinks (rum, brandy, vodka, pineapple juice, and a splash of grenadine makes for a fun summertime umbrella drink), but for me a martini is always better with a good gin vs. a good vodka. And a good bourbon on the rocks is usually better than that.

Now having said that, a friend did give me a shot of Russian vodka once that actually tasted really good and was nice for sipping, almost like a liqueur.

not to anyone too cheap to actually buy proper vodak it isnt. if your drinking crap that was only distilled a few times, its really not that much different, and it tastes like ass. probably why most of the people here seem to think vodka isn't a straight drink. a proper bottle that was distilled 7 or more times and made by people that no what the fark they are doing, like the Polish, or the Russians of course, doesn't need fark all added to it to taste great
