Look, dude.

Coked-up movie stars are much more common than otherwise healthy 32-year-olds dropping dead of an MI in the morning.

People are just playing the odds on this one.

"She was on herbal remedies that wouldn't speed up her heart," Monjack said. "There was prescription medication in the house for her female time and some cough syrup. That was it."

What, no aunt flo jokes?

This should always raise a red flag.

People see "herbal" and they instantly think it's harmless.

True. For chrissakes...oleander, hemlock and wolfsbane are technically "herbal." And in a lot of cases, that $#!+ will kill you dead.

Has America really run out of decent guys that our (formerly) hot actresses feel the need to troll the shallow waters of some British peat bog for a lumpy unshaven sweatsuit draped yob?

I really don't understand why the FDA hasn't done more about hemlock vitamins.

Big mistake. Unfortunately, herbal products aren't regulated or tested by the FDA, unlike medicines.

I was being facetious, but apparently it's available for only 7 bucks a bottle.

/Bonus: has "Poison" in the common name
//Double Bonus: comes with recommended dosages for adults and children

No kidding. I vaguely remember pseudoephedrine being in that category. it's right up there with "for incense use only" in the legalese labelling category..

Topamax (for seizures or migraines), methylprednisolone (a steroid), fluoxetine (an antidepressant), Klonopin (for anxiety), carbamazepine (for seizures or bipolar disorder), Ativan (for anxiety), Vicoprofen (pain reliever), propranolol (for hypertension, migraines or anxiety), Biaxin (an antibiotic), and hydrocodone (a narcotic pain reliever).

Those Hollywood people don't drugs, it's just jealous average people who spread rumors like that. Hollywood people have to work way too hard and be on their best game all the time. They don't have time to get farked up.

Here's a famous Hollywood person exhausted by her rounds at the nightclubs, schmoozing and making contacts for her next movie. Most of us don't even have the stamina to do what they do. And yet they do--because they love their work and love bringing fascinating stories to us.

Dude...you could see damn near every bone in her body..she was deathly thin and likely dehydrated like jerky...that stresses your body enough. That on top of drugs of any type will stress your heart to the point of failure.

2009-12-23 04:35:56 PM
Could easily be stress and congenital heart failure.

That said, it was almost definitely drugs.

Oh well. That's what she gets for "Little Black Book."

Her family claimed she had "flu like symptoms" before her death, which may or may not be true. The fact is that no one currently has any proof of anything and should therefore shut their traps in the meantime.

This too. I have a heart defect myself. I'm 24 and otherwise in good health, but it's something I always need to be concerned about.

I started reading the list and was like okay, we all get headaches cool, predisone is pretty common treatment for imflammation of lungs from infection okay that fits with the flu story, and then I hit the carbamazepine..... Tegretol...seriously Tegretol?

Coming from being married to someone who does actually take antipyschotics Tegretol is up there on the power list and has a whole host of nasty effects including cardiac arrhythmias and EEG slowing.

It's about time someone had the courage to speak up like you just did.

If only someone had strength to do this when Michael Jackson died, we all could have been spared countless hours of pain and anguish as we flip-flopped from one vicious rumor to the next.

Bravo to you for having the clarity to see through all of this needless speculation. The world needed a leader in the midst of this chaos surrounding us.

Okay... Im taking my chips and moving them to Bradycardias caused by the Tegretol, Narcotics, and Weakness

Im still on the fence with the weakness though....either Anorexia or Sinus Infection. I say sinus infection because it fits with the steroid and anti-biotic.

It's entirely possible it was natural - but since we've seen so many others die of drug related issues, it's easy to make that assumption.

People who look perfectly healthy have been known to drop dead. Autopsies typically reveal a birth defect related to the heart to explain it. However, this is Hollywood, so I feel safe in assuming cocaine was involved.

They are regulated by the Food section of the FDA. . .still, unless people start using herbal's as a Drug, the FDA doesn't do squat.
