There's no other logical explanation.

Cyberpunk was about how technology impacts and changes society. I know that all SF is, to some extent, about that, but Neuromancer was stylistically much darker, and mostly about information technology (including biotech like Case's deck connection). Steampunk was about the same thing, except in the context of the past instead of the future. How would having computers have affected the Victorians?

Later, steampunk was adapted to include intentional anachronism, usually, again, pertaining to the Victorian age, though I think by definition if you had weird techno-clothes drawn from, say, Medieval France, that'd still be steampunk.

That is a farking doll.

Man that brought back some memories, mostly because Ghastly used to post at the old Ed The Sock forums back at the turn of the century. Nice to see his sense of humor hasn't changed.

that's not a punchline, subby. This is a punchline- "if you think i'm gonna gargle with that after she's dipped her ass in it, you're out of your mind."

In the version I tell the nuns switch places in line to prevent that and subsequently inform St. Peter.

I like a lot of Japanese stuff mostly because of how weird it is but it's a thin line between interesting and absurd. This has crossed the line from absurd to retarded. They'll let anyone write comics these days.

/Gonna go watch my tentacle pr0n now.

Writing Alan Moore fanfic could result in a recursion loop error, since most
of what Moore has written in his career has been glorified fanfic.

fookin eejit: Who's Alan Moore? Nevermind, I don't want to know.

Regardless of whether you like his work, he's simultaneously the greatest positive and negative force in the history of the comic book universe. His books challenged other writers to explore themes that were heretofore never confronted in comics. Unfortunately, these writers included the likes of Rob Liefeld.

I don't know if fanfic is even an applicable concept in comics, since the entire industry is founded on the concept of writing moronic crap using other people's characters and completely pissing all over everything they stand for.
