I was in a record store in New Jersey in about 2002 and was looking at their collection of mp3 players, which was right next to the action figures. This girl walks up next to me with her boyfriend, looks at the Metallica action figures, and says "Why does the drummer have both his arms?" To this day I can't decide if she was being really clever or really dumb.

They were at the peak of their popularity and I was in the metal section of a record store browsing for something else (I had all their stuff)when these 2 teen girls were walking by. The first one was talking about buying a Metallica T-shirt and the second replied "Don't you think you should own a Metallica album first?" if she hadnt been jailbait I'd have offered to marry that girl right there.
