Why are there tire tread marks?

"When snowmobiles and buggies clash, no one wins."

FtA: Both the driver and passenger of the buggy were unhurt.

I'd say it's pretty clear that the score is Amish 1 : Technology 0

That was my first thought as well.

Also, is the horse okay?

wow... bet some one has had that pic saved on their computer for 12 years and was like "YESSSS!!! my moment is NOW!!!!" and BOOSH! there it is!

2009-12-21 06:25:52 AM
Yeah. What about the horse? I would think that the "left front area" (FTFA) would include the horse. Is it okay?

I'm getting confused. Is it snowmobile or the mavericky "snowmachine"?

/donormachine?

Snowmobiles should be banned.

Holy crap that graphic has everything. Racing snowmobiles, tire tracks, shattered glass, Amish people... It's like an Amish action movie poster.

You've seen them raise a barn, now watch them raise hell!
starring Owen Wilson in DOOM BUGGY!
Jebediah is back and this time... it's personal!

Those aren't tire tracks! Those are magical lightning bolts from Jesus, smiting those who oppose the amish! SNOWMOBILES ARE FOR SINNERS!!

Snowmachine in Alaska, Snowmobile for the rest of the "lower 48". I think Montana/Minnesota they are also called snowmachines not sure though.

mmmmnn, horsemeat!

One thing is for certain: if they'd both ridden buggies, then the damage would have been minimal.

It needs some explosions and lens flare.

Looks like it was "Ripped flaming from the pages" of some Municipal Transportation Expo poster.

But that's just perfer for an Amish like me, you know I shun fancy things like electricity.

At 4:30 in the mornin' I'm milkin cows, Jebediah feeds the chickens and Jacob plows fool! And I been milkin' and plowin' so long that even Ezekiel thinks that my mind is gone!

I'm a mand of the land, I'm into discipline.
Got a bible in my hand a beard on my chin.

It's not tire tracks, it's one of the five elements.

If you were amish and posting on Fark I would be extremely intrigued. I'm imagining some type of Rube Goldberg device including a windmill, a butter churn, and a big antenna on top of the barn.

For those of you who have never lived near the Amish there's a 99.99% chance that this is the snowmobilers fault. I lived in Oelwein, Iowa for a short while and it was considered sport for teenagers and not a few adults to run the Amish buggies into the ditch. I'm willing to bet that this kid was so intent on harrassing the buggy that he caused the acident.

I met an amish dude and his g/f online - they even had a web cam. She was visiting him I should say. He (and she) were in college for two years. During that time they weren't shunned but it was pretty close. At the end of that time they returned and I never heard of them again. He was in an agricultural program and she was doing something else but I forget what. This was MANY years ago and I don't recall much more than that.

None of that is important. Did you see the video on the right? Putin's a bad ass.
