Baby beluga in the deep blue sea
Swim so wild and you swim so free
Heaven above,
Sea below,
And a little white whale on the go...

Aww, belugas are great. They have those big, wobbly melons, chirpy vocalizations, and wonderful personalities. Don't rag on the belugas, man.

Ikahoshi: I prefer Shedd's Country Crock.

I prefer Arthur "2 Sheds" Jackson.

For some reason that pic reminds me of some Farkers who hate kids so much they refer to them as 'crotchfruit', as if they weren't kids before. I'm sure those same Farkers hate these cute baby mammals as well. Beluga crotchfruit?

Whales don't have crotches, to start with...

Besides, look how happy and easygoing both baby and mama look. You wouldn't see a land baby and mama of similar girth looking so happy.

skinink: as if they weren't kids before

When I was a child, I too was crotch-fruit. So were you. But it's not an insult to the child, who had no say in the matter, rather it's an insult to the breeders that force innocent souls into this cruel world. I suspect most children would actually be excited to be called crotchfruit, because unless someone told them to be upset it's just a new name and it sounds like something they could possibly eat, which is always exciting for children.

In any case, whales can't have crotchfruit because they're not smart enough to know better. They're all just dumb animals whether the breed or not, and their offspring are just smaller dumb animals.

/ Hates parents, not children
// Well, hates parents more
/// Thinks everyone would agree that the world would have been better if I were never a crotchfruit

You're supposed to add in that they would be much better BBQed.

Belugas are interesting, they are the preying mantises of the cetacean world in that they can turn their heads to look at things because their cervical vertebrae aren't fused like most other whales.

From the article:

"That seemed to do the trick," Ramirez said. "All night long and early Tuesday morning, he was full of energy, passing gas, defecating, swimming and beginning to learn how to dive."

That's how we're able to tell that gramps is still alive, too.
