Wish I could tell you that was true, but it's probably not. I've been through Ottawa a number of times.

One chunk of the town are bitter senior coonts who will blame the girl for playing where she shouldn't have been and talk about how things were better back in World War 2. Another chunk of Ottawa is bitter meth-heads who will insist they could have been heroes too, if they'd just had the chance, man.

The rest of the town is far too Baptist/Lutheran to do anything like praise a stranger; it might embarrass him.

A couple of people will shake his hand or tell him, "hey, that was pretty good," but that's about as demonstrative and emotional as small-town Kansas gets.

The road was almost perfectly level, but the car was still moving and I was in the right spot to run up and start pushing before it lost any momentum. I weighed about 190 pounds, and had just run the Army Ten Miler in an hour flat, so I figured I would just push the car down to the nearby gas station, hell, it was less than a mile away. So I did, running the whole way with it. Once the driver stopped at a pump there was kind of a weird moment when the driver, a young lady got out and gave me a really strange look. I realized that I was wearing a blue hoody with a huge superman logo, the one I got for christmas because everyone always said I looked like clark kent. I just laughed, threw a half assed salute and figured I'd run the rest of the way to the bar. Should've gotten her number, but I figured whoever she was, she had a much better story to tell if I didn't hit her up for a date.

I always preferred batman anyway.

I know Superman and he wouldn't have bothered lifting the car off of this little girl. He would have used the supersonic capacity of his lungs to physically force her out of the way of the oncoming steel behemoth.

She gets away with minor scrapes and bruises vs the crushing internal injuries she suffered when this imposter stood idly by and watched the car slowly crush her frail frame. Only then did he jump into action. Thus ensuring the "hero" story as he poses in his mighty fashion over her. In her state of shock, she fails to see through his vain attempt to impress her in order to get a date with her mother.

It's all comes back to the pursuit of the bootay.
