I meant it makes sense that the cartels would put much more effort at courting agents in the Mexican Army compared to the Navy, as the great majority of their trafficking goes overland.

I think Mexico did decriminalize small amounts of marijuana, cocaine and heroin. Which makes sense. But still, decriminalized drugs still create a black market because they're still illegal to sell. Plus the huge black market is here where no state has decriminalized anything but marijuana, and not every state has even done that.

It kind of works the same in any service. When I was in the military we had a little unofficial list of people who would be killed via friendly fire prior to going in to combat. There are certian assholes you just don't want walk behind you with a loaded weapon, explosives and possibly even an antitank missile. As such the plan was either a friendly fire accident or lump the farkups into one squad for easy disposal and send them right at a machine gun nest.

Also an officer's value as an officer is inversely related to the number of Tom Clancy books he owns. If he shows up with a giant box of harcover military thriller novels its time to find yourself a new unit.

You are an idiot.. They can't keep drugs out of PRISON where they look up your butthole on the way in.. How in the world are they going to keep them out of America? Ain't gonna happen. The US is the biggest consumer of illegal drugs in the world. The only way to win this war is to beat them on the supply side.. Legalize, Educated, Tax to Farking Hell.. You could kill every drug lord in mexico and as long as idiots in the US are still willing to spend billions a year on dope there will ALWAYS be someone to step up and take their place.

Well yes and no. Yes some guy WILL fill the void, but maybe he'll get the hint to keep a lower and less violent profile than the last guy.

It worked with Carlos Medellin and Pablo Escobar. Columbia hasn't solved their drug problem, but the days of drug lords having supreme Court judges and presidential candidates killed in broad daylight are at least behind them

That is a good point, but at the same time, the last I checked it wasn't too hard to find cocaine.
