Un-farking-believable. Dammit, I want one now!

64 times bigger, huh? So, if the stock truck tire was 24" tall, that'd mean the tire on the model would be 128 feet tall?

I think they mean "just over twice as big." Look at the shot with the trucks next to one another.

+1 for the music selection.

Actually, I think it's 4 times bigger in all three dimensions. That tire looks about 8 feet to me.

And 4 cubed is 64.

Do not doubt my Top Gear!!

That's like saying a 20 foot boat is half of a 40 foot boat.

Yeah, but can it jump over 8 school busses?

.....THROUGH A FLAMING RING!

I was told there would be no math.

I'm pretty sure that's not officially Top Gear, but some Clarkson car-oriented show. Japan special was pretty nifty, plus he's in white jeans. Heh, the 80s

Did I hear that right - a 300 HP engine to move a > 40 ton truck? If you're spending that kind of cash, why not sacrifice a couple of bedrooms to put in an engine that could actually get you somewhere?

And WTF is up with the cheap ass furniture in all of the bedrooms? I thought these guys were into excess.

Present day 80k GVW tractor trailers have about 400HP +/- depending on what the owner wants, likely less in the 80s post oil crunch so this engine isn't very far off. Torque is more important, and not mentioned in the video.

Most 80s furniture sucked. This is just video proof.

I don't think this ended up being all that great of an expense.

You could probably build this for 500k to 1 million dollars if you sourced the parts correctly.

The fact that people in the US are paying $500k for a house that is worth $80k in materials and $50k worth of land is what I find truly hilarious.

Misleading info.

It may be 64 times the mass, but it is not "everything on the truck is 64 times as big" as is claimed in the video.

If that statement were true, the truck would be 433 feet tall, 422 feet wide and 1021 feet long.

He does these spin-off videos with the Top Gear producer to cash in on the TG brand. The videos are never nearly as good as the show because, normally, they just do a quick segment in whatever country the BBC pays them to be in, in their own time. I say that because few that I have seen have been BBC branded.

I would once have recommended mininova as the way to watch Clarkson outside of Top Gear. Not so much now

That was seriously one of the most bizarre vids I've seen recently. I'm definitely a Floyd fan, but it seemed an odd choice of music to go with the gigantic truck out in the middle of the desert. Then again, maybe it was perfect.

You did see the master bedroom right? Those other bedrooms were probably for his children... or his servants.... or his wives.
