Some absolutely amazing shots in there.

2009-12-16 10:08:20 PM
Well that was depressing. Some decade.

John Nash: Well that was depressing. Some decade.

Yeah really. Disaster, disaster, war, disaster, war, accident, nuns throwing snowballs...

I honestly didn't know the Concorde had blown up like that. I guess I didn't watch the news much.

I've taken quite a few pics in the past decade won a few Farktography contests, had one selected as editor's choice in a New York Times travel contest, but nothing even approaching those, either from a beauty, or raw emotional standpoint.

Thought this one should be in there.

I'm surprised there wasn't more of Hurricane Katrina.

Is that one of ours? So I can know whether to cheer or cringe.

The problem with these types of slide shows is they make me want to give up photography.

2009-12-16 11:20:34 PM
Yeah those were great pictures. Too bad the dumbfark publishers still give them away for free.

A crocodile clutches the lower left arm of veterinarian Chang Po-yu at the Shoushan Zoo in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, on April 11. The croc biatchang's arm off when he tried to remove a tranquilizer dart. Two bullets were fired at the croc, but it was unharmed. The arm was reattached.

bloody hell...

#57 is my favourite. It looks like a painting.

I looked at #16 and thought of a "knock, knock" joke.

2009-12-16 11:27:26 PM
I can't believe Elain Gonzalez started out this decade. Too bad his Dad didn't want him back 6 years later, the same wacko conservatives that fought to keep him here would have gladly sent him away because he was an illegal.

Picture this, a world without slideshows.

F'ing enough of the slide shows, ajax or not.

Just put the damn photos on one page. We've all upgraded from the 14.4 modems at this point.

Sort of surprised Neda didn't make the cut. Glad that dividing by zero was included though, and the duckling picture is mad cute.

My favorite caption: "A ladybug crawls across the ridges of a plastic fence covering during a baseball game March 17 in Gray, La. The bug spent the second and third innings crawling around the plastic tubing, then flew away."

Yes, definitely an event of the decade.

A lot of it's right place-right time. In fact, all of those pictures were. Just remember the hundreds and thousands of pictures sitting on someone's hard drive or prints laying in some closet somewhere it took to get those few perfect images.

Some truly awesome photos though.

This was a tragic decade. Looking at these pictures makes me glad to have my 4 limbs. These pictures make me happy to have what little I do. They still make me sad as fark though.

Paging Sgt Otter

Do you know if:

1) That guy's one of ours. I can't tell.

and

2) What happened to him.

Thanks in advance.

annitabonghit: Except #42. Staged photo by Army psychologists.

That one wasn't. Pretty much every other released photo of those events was PsyOps though. That one shows too many military and not enough civilians.

Actually, it helps me improve.

Now, if I had a working camera, I'd be done with it.
