Very close to the book, but they trimmed down the level of Bible thumping from the mom.

It's a great movie.

I've heard she looks particularly good in this film, so it may be worth a look.

Blowmonkey: I wish the people who nominated her would realize that humanity would really be better off if she simply stopped acting. I mean Sandra farking Bullock, come on. It's not quite as bad as Jennifer Aniston, but its getting close. I mean, I know you can't nominate Meryl Streep by herself for every category, although you try, but a goddamn chair can act better than Sandra Bullock.

I used to think that, before I went and saw Blind Side.* Sandra stepped up and delivered a performance that I wouldn't have expected based on her previous movies. I have yet to talk with someone (outside of internet discussion threads) who wasn't impressed with the quality of her work, and I've been recommending the movie to people left and right.
