Coffee picks you up while letting you calm yourself down. That's why I'M a Coffee Achiever

Coffee is a blameless, holy creature that has no time to stop for you corn-shucking crackers.

I used to only drink coffee with a ton of stuff in it, which is why I now drink tea instead. If you have to put so much flavoring in/on something it no longer resembles the original item, why are you eating/drinking it in the first place?

This is absolutely true. Diabetes runs in my family very strongly. Virtually all my aunts and uncles and grandparents on my mom's side, except my mom have it to some degree. And the difference? My mom drinks coffee and tea religiously. On my Dad's side it's not so cut and dry, but the family members who drink lots of coffee are precisely the ones without weight issues and without diabetes.

I think I'm going to go drink myself into a caffeine coma. I feel my blood sugar starting to go haywire.

Breve. My brother knows what it means. For those that wish to croak immediately after drinking.

Coffee and tea (with caffeine), makes you jittery and fidgety which makes you move around, which makes you burn calories, which makes you lose weight, which makes you a less likely candidate for diabetes.

Next study, can cocaine prevent diabetes?

I prefer coffee flavored coffee (black), but that's just me. Occassionally I'll make the leap into espresso or chicory for a change of pace. Oh, and for all you folks that make that general purpose office "coffee", please for the love of all that's beautiful make COFFEE and not hot brown water! That stuff doesn't even smell like coffee. It's so horrible at my office that I've started to bring in my own french press and bean grinder and I don't consider myself a true coffee snob.

Also, instant coffee isn't really coffee. They add the color a flavor by spraying it onto the crystals just before packaging. Just FYI.

Working at Starbucks ironically taught me to appreciate strong black coffee from a French press (from the Pacific islands or Yemen, preferably, and NOT from Sbux). Also, it taught me to think less of anyone who orders a drink with more than 1 'modifier', unless it's 'for here'. The most annoying/rude people always ordered Frappuccinos so no, you can't drink those either.

I drink espresso straight. I make it at home. I also drink coffee black at home. Sometimes I'll put Irish cream in my coffee, but that's an evening drink. I get a mocha from starbucks on a regular basis. I don't call that coffee.

I'm on a first name basis with all of the baristas at my local Starbucks. They already know what I'll order (most of the time). During the summer they just need to know if I'm having my regular or a frappaccino. I'm not rude, so I break your rule. Ok, they did get annoyed when, during a discussion about espresso, I said they burnt their beans. They denied this. I proved them wrong by bringing properly roasted espresso beans from home (Jamaican Blue Mountain) for them to compare. They now know better.
