1) Berkshire Hathaway has shed 16 million shares. Shedding that many shares as a minority stakeholder is the ultimate vote of no-confidence.
2) Loss of reputation, mostly. Moody's sold out and became just another hooker on Wall Street, yet they were able to claim otherwise partly by standing behind Warren Buffet's reputation. If Buffet is done with Moody's, that's basically taking the make-up and fancy clothes away from what was a high-priced service and subsequently revealing it to be the financial equivalent of a $5 streetwalker.
Which is something that should've happened a long time ago, really. BH is only shedding the shares slowly to avoid a price crash; as idiots fill the void, they shed more to maximize the returns. TFA shows the price has been relatively stable during the sell-off. Patient and productive. These guys are very, very good.
