I don't think I'll have enough Boyfriend Points built up to get out of seeing this. But it will have Natalie Portman, so I think I'll be all right.

No shat. That book was one of the best reads I've had in a long time.

Clooney is no saint, but I can't see him blowing up at anyone, really. So, yeah, David O. Russell sounds like a complete nutjob.

The sad thing is, I'd actually want to see this film, whereas my GF would not. She hates zombies.

/awesome book

I still want to believe that whole David O. Russell/Lily Tomlin thing was a joke.

If you like David O. Russell films and somehow haven't seen "Spanking the Monkey", you're missing out.

Haha, chalk up another loser can't-miss, popular-on-the-internet piece of shiat entertainment for morons. Say hello to Snakes on a Plane, Soul PLane and Tucker Max for us.

i think all the classics should have zombies in them...

Russell sounds like a complete jerk, but I love Three Kings and Flirting with Disaster.

On one hand, I got sick of anything having to do with Jane Austen in high school when I wrote a paper on Emma.

On the other hand, zombies

I still can't wait for this movie to come out!

We all know I love zombie movies but I'm afraid of the idea of "classic" literature screwing it up.

Word of advice: even liking those will not get you through "I Heart Huckabees" without tickling your "want to stab somebody many, many times" reflex.

Worked with him on a film in SC once.

He was a maniac.

Which director will he put in a headlock this time to get his star actor?

Well, yes. The strange thing is that I Heart Huckabees was nothing like the others.

here's a bit of news for ya'... Most artistic geniuses are ego-driven, control-freak, meglomaniacs.

If you are going to discount the art because you don't like the artist, you might as well then take a dump on anything created by Van Gogh, Jimi Hendrix, Kanye West, and James Cameron.

Their difficulty is a prerequisite for producing a piece of art that they are the only people in the world who can visualize it before it happens. so... just roll with it.

WTF? A majority of the people in the "artistic genius" group are not jackholes. Sure, everyone blows their stack once in a while but O. Russle is a complete incendiary nutcase.

And FYI, Sociopaths are also geniuses, so roll with that.

The fact that this book came out got me to finally read Pride and Prejudice (my wife had been trying to get me to read that for years), and I was surprised that I actually liked it.

Then I read the zombie version, and loved it. It honestly made the main points of the original stand out more. And Lizzy is now a complete badass, which I love. And Wickham and Mr. Collins get dealt with in a much more satisfactory manner in the new book.

...so, I guess I'm just saying I'm kind of excited about the movie.
