Lucky bastard.

if Chan was on the building, I'm sure that somebody would have sent up a plane to save him.

Although he was gonna shoot at 7am EST and the first plane hit at 8:48

Although by 8:48 he might have been hanging off the side of the building as one of his window washer shots. That would've been crazy footage posted all over the net within days...

Well, read somewhere that that Australian swimmer bloke with feet size enormous who won some gold medals last Games was also on the way to the top but forgot his camera and was on the way down when ..... well you know.

Mr Chan is the real McCoy.

joobers for chan

Dang, if they'd off'd Chan then I'd be even more pissed than pissed.

And China would've already invaded Afghanistan, and tried and executed everyone there.

Of course, for Chan this is just "I Cheated Death #4,212"

jackie would have jumped on the plane, biatch slapped the terr and piloted the plane to HK

Rhad - Days? It would be everywhere within hours, and all over television news within minutes.

I was thinking about the Movie footage of them filming Jackie chan close up, and then this big fat plane come up behind him...well something like that, either way I was thinking about the movie cameras and not the amateurs standing around the place. Or do I give them too much credit... heck Roche you're right, if HK is bootleg central, there'd by DVDs out on that before you could say "wo-ah, hoo-ah, yeah, what is it good for (absolutely nuh-thin)"

bugger you, Bugger_All, I was going to mention the same thing! Ian Thorpe, what a guy. And a great body...

My uncle was supposed to be there for business, but something came up in Australia so he postponed his trip.

You're going to hear a LOT of these kind of close-calls in the next few months I bet.

Jackie Chan is also a demi-god. Did anyone see him on Leno a while ago? Funny!

We were going to call our son Jackie, but figured it would be a little too obvious. Just as well, too, because he's a bit of a clutz!

I'd hate to lose Jackie, but the mere opportunity to take out his co-star and 'Master Thespian' Chris Tucker in THAT tragedy would have almost been worth it.....

I said ALMOST !

sheesh......

I'm a long time Jackie fan, but can his plots get more pathetic? I mean, it's like he alternates between movies - terrorists one film, gangs another (and sometimes bigger gangs picking on the smaller ones).

Beppo,
it is rumored that the scene in the crow where he is shot on the table is the actual killing shot.

FifthColumn,
You're not supposed to watch Jackie Chan films for their plot development.

2001-09-20 10:35:38 PM
Yeah Jackie Chan films are not meant for deep meaningful plot. They are meant for funny slap stick humor and some really kick ass fight scenes.

Code_Archeologist: You forgot funny slap stick humorous kick ass fight scene. I think in most of them it's the fight scenes that are the funniest (Remember Legend of Drunken Master?) And contrary to what some people think, Chris Tucker is a nearly perfect counterpart to Jackie.

It's shame he wasn't on one of the planes. You KNOW he could have kicked some terrorist ass.

yea, 5000 some people died, but thank God jackie chan made it out...
