Too bad it wasn't in Albany.

At least from the perspective of all the state employees who are about to not receive their pay.

The vehicle's driver, Angela Montoya, 55, said she didn't see Robinson as she backed out of a parking spot, nor did she feel the vehicle hit him.

Christ.

Sounds like a Saturday night in Des Moines. Visit the capitol, get hit by a DART bus, take in a show at Wells Fargo Arena...

She was probably on her cell phone, putting on makeup, telling the kids to stop fighting.

He must have been in her "blind" spot.

Q: Why was Helen Keller a bad driver?

A: Because she was a woman.

I saw Ray Charles once. He didn't see me, though.

What was a blind guy doing in a parking lot?

" For all in nature wide.
Her heart was ne'er by pity torn,
No pity touched her pride,
And man, her blind and giddy fool,
She ever led astray,
Made him her victim and her tool,"

- 'Arteloise: A Romance of King Arthur and Knights of the Round Table' by J. Dunbar Hylton (1887)

Yeah seriously, how the hell did he escape from his cage?

I never thought it was possible that someone could actually put their car in reverse without looking behind them until I made the mistake of riding in a car driven by a friend of my girlfriend. She's parallel parked, with a car in front and a car in back. She starts the car and, without looking in the rearview mirror or over her shoulder, she starts moving backwards. Sure enough, she bumps into the car in back of her, takes this as her cue to take the car out of reverse, and drives off. I'm sure it left a dent in the bumper of the car behind her, and I'd be shocked if she didn't realize she hit a car, but it certainly didn't faze her in the least.

/I know, cool story, bro.

I blame the queers. They're in it with the aliens. There would have been a sidewalk, but all that is in Des Moines are landing strips for gay Martians.

It was a serious question. Was he going out to his car? Or did he just think it would be a good idea to wander through an area full of people pulling into and backing out of parking spots?

And suddenly every farker here is a perfect non-inebriated driver huh?

Lay off the woman like you're suddenly a smart one and start recognizing that a blind man doesn't belong in a parking lot. The parking lot has more blind spots than any other car-accessible venue for God's sake.

F*ing pedestrians and their sense of right-of-way entitlement. If you walking morons think cars will stop for you every time they back out of a space then go ahead, whine about the woman and follow the blind guy's lead.

Take a step back and evaluate traffic patterns while going... well, while going anywhere.

How do you get to a store without transversing a parking lot?

On a somewhat related note I can see how this would happen as my wife is Asian and from Florida and a woman... Yeah shes pretty much farked as a driver!

/Really she drives terribly
//She is easily capable of this same thing

MBrady: She was probably on her cell phone, putting on makeup, telling the kids to stop fighting.

Nah. I watched a woman, 50s, get into her car and try to reverse into me in a chain store parking lot. Sometimes they don't even bother to look in the mirror.

Pedestrians don't belong in parking lots? WTF am I supposed to do, teleport from my truck to the store?

2009-12-11 01:15:11 PM
this belongs here:

A nun is taking a shower. She hears knocking on one of the doors of her convent. She ignores it at first, thinking another sister will answer.

They don't. Eventually, she scrambles to get to the door, and only puts a towel around her waist, thinking it's probably another sister locked out.

"Who's there?" she asks.

"Blind man" comes the muffled reply.

Ordinarily she'd never open the door to a man in this condition, but, since he's blind and he's been knocking on the door for several minutes, she doesn't feel right making him wait longer. She opens the door.

"How can I assist you?" she asks.

"Nice tits, sister," he responds. "Where do you want these blinds?"
