t37 for child bearing is not responsible. Retartation, miscarriage etc. Medical fact that these things are likely for a mother that age. The biology is that 13-20 is best.

I would say that she agrees, but let's be real; she never admits being wrong about anything.

Don't thank the people involved in this movie for that; thank the people who made When Harry Met Sally, Annie Hall and Same Time, Next Year. All three used the "lust leads to friendship, which leads to romance" story spread out over a large span of time, and all three did it far better.

Or, in other words, a 95 percent chance the baby is born healthy.

The numbers, much like Autism, are skewed. With more extensive testing, more and more women are terminating the pregnancy if they have Down's.

Yup. Same thing (and even more pronounced) with Autism. Which is why we're having more people with Autism. People giving birth later and later.

Holy crap you're a moron.

The reason why Autism has become an "epidemic" is because the spectrum to "diagnose" autism has widened tremendously. Now if Junior even acts up a little bit, he's called special needs.

I like her, but it's not fair to say she's never gotten her due. She works A LOT, she has a CV most actresses of her age and caliber would kill for.

And now she has Lake Bell to deal with!

I've seen all four films, and there are obvious similarities, but I like them all for different reasons. "A Lot Like Love" forges enough of its own path to be taken on its own merits. The opening scene in the airport sets a tone that's quite different from the earlier movies. The leads have great chemistry (I never thought I'd like Ashton Kutcher), and the flavor of their friendship/romance/whatever bears little resemblance to any of the three titles you sited, for several reasons beginning with the fact that these two fark in the first 5 minutes of the movie.

On a scale of 1-10 with the titles you mentioned being 10 (although I'd rank "Same Time" a 9 or 8 on this scale), I'd put the first 95 minutes of "A Lot Like Love" at a strong 8, and the last 10 minutes - which were clearly a rewrite, and not by the original screenwriter - down around a 2.

Erm... while we may overdiagnose, autism and Aspberger's are still related to age of parents-- fathers, actually.

A massive study (new window) in Israel found that the older the father is, the more likely it is that his children will have autism or a related disorder. Their rates:

Dad aged 15-29 at birth: 6/10,000
Dad in 30s: 9/10,000
Dad in 40s: 32/10,000
Dad in 50s: 52/10,000

So yeah. Older dad, higher chance of autism. Austism's clearly caused either by one parent having it (that's a clear link, autistic adults are very likely to have autistic kids), or spontaneous mutations in the sperm due to advanced paternal age.

/if he acts up, the diagnosis is "ADHD," not autism-- can't get the good child-tranqs for an autistic kid
