A few years ago The Beach Boys played a show at a park here in town. For those that don't know, John Stamos plays drums on a couple of their songs.

At the time I was a cabbie and a few hours after the show ended, I had to go pick someone up at a Red Lion hotel nightclub right down the road from the show. John was in there slobbering drunk and hitting on every chick in the place.

I spent about five minutes in there looking for my fare and in that time he must have had six or seven girls tell him to get lost. He looked like a real douchebag type drunk.

You just go up to John Stamos and say, "Hey man, I got these photos of you and I am thinking of selling them to the tabloids. I just wanted to know if you wanted to make an offer before I did?" He is either going to tell you where to shove the pictures or he is going to open legal negotiations for the pictures. If it is worth it to them then they will pay. If it isn't worth it then they wouldn't have paid you if you extorted them anyways. People just need to think their cunning plans through.
