LaughoL, nice tempering of your rage. I don't get that way, but then again, I don't have the hots for her. I understand you're jealous of what her and John had. Get over her dude, she's not interested. She's not even your type, what are you doing?

Rest in peace John, Dimebag, et cetera.

You have to wonder what music John would be making today; how the post-internet, post-911 era would meet his eye.

I say this every year: I want to visit the alternate world where Mark David Chapman had the .22 and Hinkley had the .44.

With hollow points. If Lennon had just been shot six times in the chest, there's a good chance he would have survived (see: Warhol, Andy), but Champman's gun was loaded with hollow point rounds.

I had a friend who was very right-wing Christian who once told me that she was offended by that song, as it was an "ode to hedonism" or something like that.

It was at that point that my faith in humanity as a whole was lost, realizing that a pop song about peace and love could actually piss some people off.

SnakeMan - switch to decaf and go outside. It's a beautiful day.

"Peace & Love"?

Restless, three days without sleep, his mind wrapped in a barely perceptible haze, he continues East, despite the stuttering convulsions and near-death throes of his endearing 1962 Chevrolet ...

... "Remember," she says, "I'm holding you responsible for all of this."

A couple of months ago I decided to create my own Beatles "What If..." albums based in a world where they didn't break up or make solo albums.

I arranged them by year (with the obvious gap between 1976-79 because of John's hiatus) and I tried to put on any singles and any collaborations between ex-Beatles (which is why 1973 is very Ringo heavy). I filled out the rest with what I considered the better tracks from their respective albums. As far as album titles I just followed the convention they usually had of naming them after the stronger tracks.
