He's always the bomb. Segel is one of those actors I'll watch in pretty much anything and feel confident that if it's got nothing else going for it, it's at least got Jason Segel. Ebert used to have the "Stanton/Walsh" rule -- no matter how crappy the movie, if it had Harry Dean Stanton or the late M. Emmett Walsh in it, it couldn't be all bad. For me, it's the "Bridges/Arkin" rule. The only movie I can remember not even liking Jeff Bridges in was Tideland, and I don't think I've ever not liked Alan Arkin. Segel's a bit young to have his name added to the rule, but he's up there.
