Well, they have a good story to take to the Model Railroad convention.

(I would do that)

Sounds like something that would happen in my neighborhood. Some of us have talk of this recently.

That looks like a chair where one might get their testicles trapped. Then where would they be? On the rail with a train coming at them balls to the wall.

2009-12-07 07:11:50 AM
Couldn't they find any abandoned trackage for their test-run?

Oh wait, this was in Europe, where they take public transit a little more seriously that over here in N America...

Looks safer than what's working the Norwich - Liverpool Street line at the moment. National Express could learn from these people.

For those of you with limited vocabularies, "builoding" means building a project with the aim of exploding it shortly thereafter.

I dunno-- I think it looks like fun. I would've gone along for a ride and enjoyed a frosty adult beverage from the cooler.

FTFA: Railway bosses had been asked to suspend all services to avoid a collision although the train buffs had chosen to have their drive when there had been no trains scheduled.

"It seems to be one of those mad pub ideas that actually happened. They didn't seem to realise they could have caused a serious accident if they'd got anywhere near a real train," said one officer.

Maybe that's why they decided to make their run when no trains were scheduled to be on the tracks...

That was my first thought. I was disappointed when I clicked on the link and didn't see the it being blown up by the railroad cops.

When stuff either gets deliberately injected with an overdose of insulin, or ingests an overdose of pills, depending on whom one believes?

Here's a clue guys, the train is probably on the farking tracks!

Damn fool idea that could have caused a serious accident, but also made of win. If I was one of them, I'd like to think I wouldn't mind being arrested in the cause of such awesomeness.

My Grandpa once built a truck out of so many different spare parts - some of the homemade - the DMV had to make up some special kind of registration for it. (This was back in the '50's, so I don't know if the laws were different back then or what.)
