The taxpayers support you. If they want to videotape the queen mum taking a dump they have the right. Get a real job if you feel different.

Aren't those the people who claim--probably rightfully so--that Elizabeth had different fathers for her children and as did Diana?

I dont know whats more laughable.

The fact that you have zero power has a monarch or that your country still has a monarch.

lmao.

If you enjoy the perks of being famous then you do not have any privacy rights except for inside your home. Simple as that.

It could be worse, we could elect an unaccountable, all-powerful god-king on a 4-8 year basis that ultimately serves whatever powers funded their election campaign oh wait.

No they don't. Where do people get this stupid idea? Do you think that other people--celebrities--are like inanimate objects for you to entertain yourself with?

No wonder humans treat each other so shabbily anymore.

Why can't the paparazzi just leave her alone. After all she's just a humble private citizen trying to go to work and-oh wait, she has a tax-funded palace and gets a parade every time she takes a dump.

I really do hate it when celebs in general biatch about the paparazzi. Sure their good enough to have around 24/7 to stroke your AWing ego or photograph your new pretty dress but you want to be able to wave a magic wand and and have them go away and if not, they then become parasitic scum? You knew was the price of being public figure when you chose that lifestyle, deal with it. The queen may have not chosen to enter it as much, but decades of free pampering without working sure as hell count as choosing to live like that.

Old coont has an estimated fortune of £349 million, of which she earned precisely 0.0%.

She should shut the fark up and do her job (which is entertaining the masses).

She's just mad they got a picture of her which proves she is a giant iguana from outer space.

The Queen's estates pay 10x in taxes what the royals receive in total financial support from the government, including security services. They're some of the most wealthy people in England.

What does that have to do with invading people's privacy? They aren't Big Brother contestants. If you're that much into peeping at people, watch more reality TV.

Does sweating my ass off and dislocating a shoulder at $7.50/hr whilst in theory getting pension eligibility in 20-30 years (though I'm only hired through Dec 31) and not having income enough to save or invest any for 40 years in the future count as work? At least as much as being born to the right bunch of Limey inbreds?

To say the Royals don't work is ignorant. They have to constantly attend formal events and preside over ceremonies. They put in more hours doing things you would hate doing that are absolutely required of them. They live in a constant state of formal ritual that can only be described as oppressive. They serve their country their entire lives and are under constant scrutiny.
Scr3w the paparazzi.
Chasing people around and popping camera flashes in their faces. That would get old and annoying in a couple of days, let alone a lifetime. I'm surprised celebrities don't punch them out more often. There are limits to what a person should have to put up with. If the press cover you while you are doing your job and it's part of your job then fair enough, but if they're sneaking up on you and trespassing on your property when you're off work, trying to take pictures of you, and butting into your personal affairs they should be prosecuted.

The Paparazzi did not kill Diana, that would have been incredibly awkward to explain later.

They simply created a situation where she could very likely be killed, then played Dodi Fayed like a violin to make it happen.

You royal haters are off the mark completely. Prince Charles has a schedule that would knock you on your ass. In a typical year he has the equivalent of more than one event per day. Not only that but his charities, the Princes Trust funds activities for youth and urban renewal. The queen has been smiling at elected douchebags since the early fifties. Don't tell me that old girl wouldn't rather had a life other than what amounts to servitude.

Not my fault you need a silly, useless figurehead that did less to 'earn' her position than I did to land mine (and believe me, it was damn easy.) She makes Paris Hilton look like she earned her role by comparison.

They would be able to do pretty well without the royal trappings. There is no reason to think they'd have to be ditch diggers or prostitutes. They aren't particularly stupid, they are well educated and cultured. I could easily see Charles running a fine art gallery or working as an architect.
The point is that being famous shouldn't expose you to being hounded day and night by photographers. It's harassment and is based on the mistaken belief that people have a right to know everything about your private life. When they're "working" they are fair game, but when they are off work they should have their privacy respected.
The idea that because they are supported by taxes doesn't cut it either. That would then apply to police and firemen. It would mean your employer should have the right to video taping you day and night. Vulgar curiosity is no excuse for invading people's privacy.

Police and firemen aren't given vast fortunes for them and their offspring in perpetuity, free use of vast estates and palaces, and the comfort of knowing they will live in luxury regardless of how little they contribute to society.
