Story reports that, while sales were better in more conservative areas, even Seattle - which is near Beck's hometown - couldn't muster a strong crowd:

You sound somehow surprised that we wouldn't show up to that douchefest.

Hell, half the people in his home town can't stand the weepy turd.

Oops, forgot to quotify that first line.

I wonder what the conservative reaction was when they found out it was the same movie he released last year.

Beck will have to buy more onions for his show on Monday. What an obvious phony.

Tell me you wouldn't do the same if someone presented you with that much cash. You can't, because you'd do it. Hell, for that much money, you'd be up there, crying on command, ranting incoherently, even if one of the conditions was you had to have a gorilla farking you in the ass the whole time. Don't even back away from that one. You'd be happy to see BoBo at work every day.

======================================

I don't care if it was the TDK on crack, I would never pay $20 to see a movie.

Maybe if it played on an Omnimax screen I'd pay $20

/P.S. I find it kinda funny that we greenlighted an article about this movie flopping yesterday.
//Today we greenlight a thinkprogress article that quotes the article we greenlighted yesterday :)

Well, we caught one of your liberal plants at one of Her rallies, yelling "Kill him!" and other things to discredit Her. Nice try, libtards. Fortunately, he didn't sneak into the rally for the Southern Christians of United Statesian Extraction.

I bet if he released it in Real America and not liberal bastions he'd have had a huge turnout.

Well, I guess stick THAT in your Twilight hatin' arse

2009-12-06 12:21:32 AM
Gridlock, please tell me that Fox News didn't really put that on the air. I see a bunch more people that were copied over and over, and a great big poorly Photoshop crease in the top middle of the image.

2009-12-06 12:21:44 AM
So... are we talking 'millions', as in:
a. real people
b. millions of (non-existant) Afghani voters
c. A 'Fox news' millions (actually shopped from summertime events)

2009-12-06 12:21:56 AM
Gridlock, is that real?

2009-12-06 12:22:12 AM
Gridlock theres nothing weird about that, there just happened to be 2 pairs of quadruplets and a set of triplets there that day.

You missed the guy in the blue hat, facing right. He's in there two or three times, too.

Also they were all wearing the same clothing and having the same facial expressions, not strange at all. It's just an amazing coincidence that was captured by Fox News' magical cameras.

So with the link that was greened earlier. http://www.fark.com/cgi/comments.pl?IDLink=4822823&new=1#new , That makes a total of 34 tickets?

2009-12-06 12:39:10 AM
Despite purporting to be a champion of the "little guy," Beck set tickets prices at $20 - more than double the average ticket price. Blogger Joseph Childers reports that the production value looked "cheap," and "the bulk of the evening consists solely of Glenn Beck acting out every role in his hokey story, with only his limited repertoire of accents and pantomime filling out the 'cast'."

I would so pay $20 to see "Glenn Beck: The Pantomime".

MBK: 20 Bucks for a farking movie ticket!?

I think this move finally and totally proves to me that Glenn Beck isn't serious. Create an very low budget movie where you personally play most of the parts, claim it is a movie for the common man, and then double ticket prices? That isn't ideological blindness that is flat out con man tactics.

Based on his actions, Dave Holmes should never have to pay for his own drinks again.

Poor Alfred Peachous. He might have to hang the Glenn Beck character up pretty soon.

Gridlock: // I didn't circle every duplicate because then the image would be overwhelming in circling.
// Pondering removing the duplicates and obvious off-sized heads to show what is left.

Where did that image come from? It's not an actual screen capture, right?

right?

fallingcow: That was farking priceless.

I've read it a few times now, and still can't seem to find a favorite line.

I'm torn between a few:

"The open mockery section, we learned right away, held exactly two people."

"We have not yet reached the point in the story when Glenn Beck lies onstage in the fetal position."

"So now Glenn Beck believes in God and his heart grows three sizes and he carves the roast beast. Jennifer Religious Holiday comes out and sings a song about how dreams can come true if you believe. (Even though this particular dream was about our hero's mother dying in a car wreck.)"

"So this whole thing turns out to be a dream within a memoir, which he's turned into a work of fiction, which he altered on his publishers' advice, which he's broadcasting himself live watching himself perform a year ago."

2009-12-06 12:53:18 AM
And yet... he'll still make $20 million this year. Never underestimate the profit to be made from the feeble minded.
