Mike Bay is a farking pox on the legit movie-making industry. He has absolutely no talent as a storyteller and relies on flashy SFX and lots of explosions to distract moviegoers from his absolute lack of talent. Unfortunately, there are quite a lot of you out there who are stupid enough to actually pay money to see the drek he puts out.

/yes, I have seen the transformers movies
//but I damn sure didn't pay money to see them, I DLd the torrent like anyone else with a brain would do rather than actually pay to see that crap.

I like The Rock, Armageddon and Bad Boys. I can easily rewatch these from time to time. I think it's because of the actors in it, and the acceptable plot.

All the others are meh and could never watch again. Ever. I think it's because of the actors in them and the unacceptable plots.

Ok, so by your logic... Say I have a turd in a box and I want people to eat it.

Stupid person: I will pay money to eat your turd.

Smart person: I will only eat your turd for free.

I detect a fallacy.

I hate Michael Bay and his movies as much as the next guy (although the latest movie of his I've seen was Bad Boys 2, so it's been awhile), but it does take some sort of talent to get a big budget action flick onto a movie screen, and looking halfway decent. He could never direct something artsy like There Will Be Blood or even a "smart" action movie in the vein of The Dark Knight, but he can direct the sort of massive production necessary to make a mindless Hollywood action movie. It's not a talent just anyone has, or even most directors have. Not to say it's respectable or anything, just saying there is some kind of talent there.

And I've officially been up too long, because I just realized I defended Michael Bay.

Hi,

You're snob.

You know Micheal, just when I thought you couldn't possibly suck anymore, you go and do something like this...

Damn, I always forget about him doing The Rock. I don't care what anyone says, that's actually a pretty good movie. I've been meaning to re-watch it since I finally visited Alcatraz this past summer.

I love him. Micheal Bay is hot chicks+explosions.

2009-12-06 04:14:12 AM
This is the best thing Michael Bay has ever done. I mean seriously, this was tailor made for him. No plot, no dialogue, explosions, lots of lighting effects & the hottest women on the planet wearing next to nothing on camera. How much more Michael Bay can it get? OK, maybe if you had Alessandra Ambrosio or Adrianna Lima riding a big shiny robot in the ad but other than that it was perfect.

2009-12-06 04:18:35 AM
OMG. I want to buy some farking panties now.

I seriously cracked up when that explosion went off at 1:14.

No, lens flare is ruining porn already, no outside help really needed.

What's wrong with lens flare?

2009-12-06 08:37:36 AM
Well, it looks like every single movie he's ever made. He's become a cliché of himself.

2009-12-06 09:01:42 AM
If you'd shown me that and told me that it was just a really well-done "What if Bay did a VS ad?" parody, I would have swallowed the hook. That's so unreal it's funny. He's got to be the least self-aware filmmaker in the history of ever.

All the same, if he did an episode of, say, Lazy Town or something like it, it would probably be the lulziest thing that ever lulz'd/

Okay, all of you turn in your man-card. That was pretty fun to watch.

Same. However... Transformers 1 was awful but I caught Transformers 2 over the weekend and enjoyed it. I've seen it twice now. It would of been even better if he ditched the human actors totally and just did exploding robots for three hours.

Let's hope this culminates in a new chain of Victoria's Secret car washes.

These are women in lingerie posing/strutting for the camera. Even Uwe Boll could direct that successfully.

There is something wrong with you. Transformers 2 is easily the worst "blockbuster" to have come out in ages. I saw it the other day and contemplated snapping the disc in half before mailing it back to netflix.

never has there been a more appropriate use of lens flare and explosions.

The ad is set to a heavy metal music and see the 'Angels' walking in slow motion across a range of backdrops, including a barren landscape with hovering helicopters.

I call Metalocalypse ripoff. Well, it would be if the models all died in horrible gruesome innovative ways.

The beginning was good. The rest of it was very Michael Bay (see crap in the dictionary). Those explosions were inappropriate, and pointless.

We don't want M. Nightnight Shambalabamba directing one though. There will be an obvious twist ending at the end of the ad where it's suddenly obvious all the models have a Victor/Victoria's Secret tucked in their panties.

I liked it too, but I had visited The Volcano Room above the New Amsterdam Cafe in Vancouver just prior to watching it, so who knows how good it really was. Still better than Transformers 2, I'm sure.

Invincible: Okay, all of you turn in your man-card. That was pretty fun to watch.

I don't have a man-card to turn in. In any case, the whole thing made me laugh my head off at Michael Bay dragging out every single Michael Bay movie cliché that we all mock. What it didn't succeed at was making me want to run out and buy anything from Victoria's Secret. I assume that ad isn't geared at women.

A man shouldn't be buying lingerie. Buys it too small, he must think she's fat. Buys it too big, it means he thinks her boobs and/or booty are too small. It's a minefield, gentlemen.

Any reason he can't just buy it in her size? Maybe simply take a peak at what she regularly wears? It's not rocket science. And yes, I'm assuming any man buying a woman lingerie would have easy access to such information.

You know what? Fark you, and every cretin that steals from every single member of the production staff so they can feel better about themselves.

It was a decent first effort, but the total lack of laser beams shooting out of their nipples pretty much knocks it down from the pinnacle of lingerie commercials it could have been.

Clock Spider Jerusalem: I liked that one. But I was also drunk. But that doesn't really mean anything.

You'd have to be drunk or stoned to get through that plot.

It could have been shot on a handicam with college extras and I prolly wouldn't have been able to tell the difference.

I love a good brainless explosion-a-rama action flick.

It's too bad Michael Bay can only make painfully shiatty brainless explosion-o-rama action flicks any more. Maybe he should try dying in a fire and see if that helps.

2009-12-07 09:52:26 AM
Loved the ad.

I think the explosion was put there as a parody of himself. It was so out of place and campy, I can only conclude it was put there on purpose.

Must Michael Bay ruin everything I cherished about my childhood?
