No thanks. I really enjoyed Zombieland. I like a little more violence in my zombie movies, but I understood going in that this was more geared toward comedy than horror. I have no reason to believe that a sequel can be as fun, and I find 3-d annoying.

Want a be entertained by zombies? Just start up Left 4 Dead 2 on XBox and listen to pre-teens whine about getting pwnd in a game that isn't even for their age group.

I would prefer if they just made a good Zombieland movie that has a lot of zombie fighting and kept the pointless characterization down to...well, nothing. Seriously, the movie could have been a lot better if they cut it down to its bare minimum and added more zombie fighting.

I'm just hoping they find some way to bring Dan Ackroyd (sp?) back for the sequel.

I think his career was one of the zombies, though.

/How did he ever marry Donna Dixon?

I'm glad that you're not the one writing the script then.

Trying to decide if I should catch this at a nearby 2nd run theater or wait for the DVD...If "Shaun of the Dead" was a 9/10, what would you Farkers rate Zombieland?

Will they be repeating the sole slow-motion boobie shot with Little Rock?

I don't care what anyone says, I enjoyed Zombieland and I'm looking forward to the next one, 3D or not.

It was fun escapism, nothing more and it did it's job beautifully.

Thats so retarded. Why take a simple, cool, fun movie and immediately squirt out a sequel? And one that's needlessly 3d? Hollywood: no dignity whatsoever.

I think it went along the lines of, "Hey Donna, does this rag smell like chloroform to you".

Loved the first one..
/Considering ignoring this on principle..

I can't watch 3D movies - they make me queasy.

Question: how many people are going to ignore this film solely because of the 3D?

Seriously, why alienate a potential audience in the name of unnecessary kitsch?

Maybe because Zombieland was intended as a TV series? The creators already planned making multiple movies to tell the story from the get go. What you saw in the movies would be episodes 1-3.

I just saw Zombieland at a 2nd run theater last Monday. I enjoyed it and even if I had gone to see it at a first run theater I would have considered it money well spent.

I'm pretty a hater of 3D movies and definately think most movies don't need it.
My biggest beef with 3D movies is they are always full of scenes shot just to remind you it is in 3D (insert: sword, needle, 2X4, finger, etc. jabbing out into the audience here) However, a 3D Zombieland just might work. Most of the gore in ZL was already over the top, so body parts and blood flying out at the crowd would probably fit right in.

The animated movies have done a fairly decent job at not using 3-D as a gimmick. The live action movies that have done so so far have been basically nothing but gimmick. Filmmakers are starting to realize that they can use 3-D to accomplish some pretty neat stuff. It remains to be seen, but Avatar looks like it will try to avoid gimmicky 3-D and be a hell of a movie because of it.

Why? So you can biatch and moan about the shallow plot and over-the-top unnecessary violence? Go not enjoy something else, somewhere else, please.

A sequel would only work if they brought in a brand new cast. (Sorry, Tallahassee). The first story had a minimal plot but at least it allowed for all members of the group to achieve their goals by the end. Their story is done. As soon as you try to expand the group to a number beyond what a single car can hold, the road trip aspect is lost.

But this is Hollywood so of course they've already signed off on bringing the old cast back.

SotD is a better movie, but that's not to say Zombieland isn't good as well (even if I was initially reluctant to see a movie with Cera-lite)

I was thoroughly entertained by Zombieland & look forward to the sequel, whether it's 3D or not.

I just hope Hollywood doesn't fark it up.

Zombieland was actually pretty good. Loved the "font" humor (when you watch it, you'll get what I mean)...

I'd give it a 9 out of 10.
