Coolest Burning Man ever.

I fully support the War on Christmas.

Both sides.

(arms dealer)

That snowman looks too happy, I think he's the insurgent responsible.

Begun, the Holiday Wars have.

There should be a war on Christmas. It's an aggressive force that has overrun Thanksgiving, encircled Halloween and is pushing on Labor Day.

Get back inside your own goddammed month. I love Christmas, but 25 days should be more than enough. Once the decorations come out in early September it stops being a special time of the year and is just the last 25%-30% of the year.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go invite everyone over for "It's a Wonderful Life" and "The Bishop's Wife" double-feature for next weekend.

/off my lawn.

" Only the might of joy in love
Brake forth within him as a fire,
And deep delight in deep desire
Of far-flown days whose full-souled quire
Rang round from the air above."

Fire and christmas just seem to go together.

Yuletide carols being sung by his grave,
And the wife dressed up in prison clothes...

My friend is an elementary school music teacher and I went to her Winter Concert a few days ago.

At the end of the concert a parent (of a kindergartner) cornered her and ask if this was a Winter Holiday concert? She said that yes, it was. Then the parent asked why there were no holiday songs. The teacher said she was sorry but the parent would have to talk to the principal (who was there).

The principal had told the teacher that there could be absolutely no holiday related or traditional winter songs (read: no jingle bells! no frosty the snowman). In fact the teacher was pushing it when the kids sang a song about riding on a sled.

I guess last year there was a HUGE ruckus because of 3 Jehovah's Witness kids. Their parents didn't want any kind of holiday season cheer in any form to be floating around.

SO what I'm trying to say is that although atheists, Jews, Islamic people, etc always get the blame for murdering baby Jesus.. it turns out it was a Christian group.

weird.

/most parents are just happy to see their 5 year old wearing a tie, a sweater, singing, and having fun..

Sounds like someone needs to read up on their history. Just because some of the under-educated Christians rise up in anger about X not meaning Christ, doesn't mean they are right.

Christmas and Xmas mean the same thing.

It can't be a war on Christmas unless congress votes. For now it's just a police action on Christmas.

For srs. If you're a night person like me, it's practically a holiday in itself having such a long period of time without that cursed fusion engine trying to kill me with its rays.

That, and it makes all the superchristians around here look at me in a very amusing way when I wish them a happy solstice.
