T. F. GUMBY. "My brain hurts!"

SPECIALIST. "Well let's take a look at it, Mr Gumby."
(Gumby specialist starts to pull up Gumby's sweater.)

T. F. GUMBY. "No, no, no, my brain in my head." (specialist thumps him on the head)

SPECIALIST. "It will have to come out."

T. F. GUMBY "Out? Of my head?"

SPECIALIST. "Yes! All the bits of it. Nurse! Nurse!"

I'm beginning to suspect studies of cancer cause tumors. I'm proposing a study of these studiers to punish them for their evil deeds.

My tumor is getting all confused, I need to have this pesky brain removed from it.

I believe that there may be a insignificant portion of the population that might be susceptible to brain cancer. Just like autism and vaccines, the risk and reward of just about anything that humans do and whatever else has a slight chance of death. With 6+ billion people on the planet, hate to be a statistician, a few thousand here and there doesn't make a difference.

If you substitute "self-absorbed asshats" for "tumor", it becomes a much more reasonable statement.

i gotta disagree with you on this one scientists. last night i talked on the phone quite a bit to coordinate all my friends to meet up at this one bar so we could do shots and shots and shots. this morning i have what feels like a tumor pounding its way through my skull. thanks a lot scientist jerks.

Falcc: I'm beginning to suspect studies of cancer cause tumors. I'm proposing a study of these studiers to punish them for their evil deeds.

Cancer is a myth, much like ADHD. You see, cancer diagnoses are much more common these days than they were years ago. Back in my great grandfather's time, very few people were diagnosed with cancer. Today? You hear about it all the time! These are just people who weren't disciplined enough. If you discipline someone, they won't begin growing tumors.

2009-12-05 12:58:31 PM
Pft, science has CLEARLY shown that everything causes cancer. Except of course if it doesn't.

I'm sure I could look this up, but I wonder how quickly cancer could develop from a single exposure to a specific environmental cause. I'm talking extreme stuff like swimming in nuclear waste or living in Detroit. Seems like the radiation poisoning or bullets would hit someone first.

I suppose the best example would be studying cancer rates after Hiroshima.

I'm just saying that coming from a layman if there was any connection it would be negligible. I don't believe there is anything inherently bad about vaccines, but there are people would do get all wharrgarbl about them.

It's not the phone that causes the tumor. It's the noble brain, attempting to assassinate a giant douche.

I think these "It's causes tumors", "It's doesn't cause tumors" groups are passing the cell phone industry around like the cheap slut that it is.

When one group publishes the results of it's funded study they call the other group and tell them it's their turn again. These study's should be named after biker clubs and cell phones should be call Susie.

The wheels on the bus go round and round.

jaytkay: Maybe if you use an earphone and talk loudly in public, it will cause cancer. Please.

It will. Because I will hit you very, very hard. Your brain will violently shake back and forth inside your skull, causing bruising.
This will eventually grow into a tumor.

For what it's worth ...
Cancer takes a while to develop. By the time it can be detected on a mammogram, colonoscopy, etc. it has been growing anywhere from months, to years. The incidence of cancer among atomic bomb survivors was definetely increased, however it took anywhere from 5 to 10 years for the first batch of cancers (Chronic Myelogenous Leukemia) to emerge, and many of the younger survivors are right now reaching the age group where their cancer risk skyrockets, so one time exposure still takes years to develop.
