"You also have to watch out for pets, your dogs and your cats, and even smaller kids that could knock over a Christmas tree, or could knock over candles, because we tend to have more decorations and more clutter during this time of year. It's very important to keep a closer eye on all of them."

That's what we do here on the island. A pine forest on a tropical island. Gotta love it.

If I paint my penis green, it could probably pass for a pine needle...

Sorry, thinking out loud here.

Ah childhood memories... the family tradition of going off to the Christmas tree lot to pick out the perfect tree.

Dad finally picking instead the one that was bare on one side, and that he could buy for a third of the price of the others.

Whatever the price was, freezing our butts off in the snow as he tried to bargain it as much lower as he could in as much time as he had for us to freeze our butts off in the snow during.

Positioning it in the corner of the living room with the window shades pulled down so no one would see the pathetic part from outside.

Dad cussing up a storm sawing on the stump and repositioning it in the stand and leaning and propping, and if necessary tethering it, struggling to overcome the thing only having one stable position, lying on its side.

Those were the good old days

I got my tree this morning, so I'm getting a kick...

/ tree was wrapped so I couldn't do this test in the lot
// needles withstand pulling quite nicely
/// branches taking a little while to settle down

Butts. They freeze off in the snow.
