One of my bands set a Montana waitress's hair on fire with a premature flashpot detonation back in the 80's. The lead guitar player had the good sense to pour a drink on her head to put out the flames. A quick towel-dry, some Aquanet, and she was back in bidness. We also took out a ceiling tile in a Canadian club with a low ceiling. Accidents happen. That's why every rock band I worked with back then carried their own fire extinguishers.

If the club burns down, you don't get paid. It's in everyone's best interest to NOT let a fire get that far out of hand.

I read about this on CNN and came to Fark for this exact headline. Good jorb, subby.

There was a local band here that wanted me to play with them. They introduced me to their "fifth member", who was their pyro guy, and they wanted me to put a small flash pot on the head stock of my guitar. Needless to say, I didn't join the band.
