Dude...i totally forgot about Capsela...that stuff was the bomb. I built some weird stuff with it with floats and propellers. When the capsule with the motor in it broke, I just used it to make other fantastic mechanical creations.

You have a great military, a great deal of good people, space enough to allow me to live quietly up north without having to worry anyone, and I'd even accept the firearm laws (of course, only a jackass moves somewhere and tries to change *them*) easily because I'd still be able to hunt. I'd even been thinking about going up to Pickle Lake this summer and taking a look at some property.

Oh well. I'll still come up so I can buy my Cubans and slightly fresher Molson and I'll still give your lost asses directions when I see you out looking at the leaves or trying to find L.L. Bean (like 100 miles from here or so but no, that's actually the most common destination I get from Canadians asking directions) or what not. I'll even go get sloppy drunk on Church Street and contribute to your local economy and entertainment. But, damn it! You were the last hope should my love for my country finally wear thin. I just wanted a quiet place where I could pay my taxes and be left alone (I'm retired) and not have to worry.

Alaska has about 8 per citizen.

My roommate is from Alaska, he like to brag about the fact his barren frozen state is bigger - even if it is empty, and that there's more guns per person. I agree that second one is cooler, but the whole bigger thing still seems sort of empty to me.

Funny, Switzerland at #3. Crime is nearly unheard of. May have something to do with every male required to have a gun in the home, many of which are fully auto:

Has that changed recently or am I the victim of believing without fact checking? I believe it was boot camp where we were informed that they were considered a part of the militia until the age of 40/45 respectively. I could have misheard. I could have been given inaccurate information. It was a lot of years ago though I seem to recall the lecture as we "discussed" (I don't recall being able to "discuss" much of anything) in military history.

FTFA: Across the street, Michael Dent was working in his third-floor loft. He saw what he thought was someone assembling a firearm, so he took some photos and called the police.

Now, let's just look at this a minute. Mr. Dipshiat Dent is across the farking street. IOW, twenty to thirty feet away, on the third floor of his building which, judging from the angle of the photo, is at least one story above the guy assembling the "gun." Please tell me how this is "right beside" this dipshiat and just WTF is he doing peering into some stranger's office?

I sure hope to hell Mr. Dent gets sent a hefty bill for the wasted SWAT team's time.
