Drink driving is not a typo, no. That is the British term for Drunk Driving.

mikemc3: So, Drink Driving is not a typo?

No, they use the present tense. "Drink-driving". That, to me, implies actually drinking while driving, as opposed to being 'drunk' (intoxicated, not like a glass of water) and driving drunk.

Actually, they both sound stupid now. Let's just stick with DUI - Driving Under the Influence. It could be the influence of alcohol, legal prescription medicine (I have to worry about this), pot, etc. If you're chemically impaired, you are DUI.

None, he fell.

I wonder how long the other cops at the station had been covering up her alcoholism.
And what it was about this particular day that made them finally decide to do something about it.

The real story should be how she'll more than likely be put on paid administrative leave until her conviction/acquittal goes through.

Or even how the other cops at that station, who more than likely worked closely with this woman, did nothing to stop this before she started driving while drunk.

Thin Blue Line, indeed.

Cops, the largest streetgang in Amer....wait, what?

This was in the U.K.?

Oh, nevermind then! Carry on and all that jolly good stuff you folks do over there. Stay pissed and don't forget to throw some shrimp on the barbie. I'll call Queen Beatrix right now and tell her how great a job she's doing of keeping you Welsh people safe! Jean Claude Van Damn!!! WOOOO!!!

If she had of lived in British Columbia she would have had her charges stayed, been sent home with pay and given a strongly worded letter telling her how naughty she is.

(Drunk BC cop kills young man...charges dropped....home with pay.

I feel sick

The woman has a drinking problem. How is that news? Get your friends together, if you have more than six of them, chances are one or two struggle with some kind of addiction problem. It's not news, it's life.

Meanwhile in America, cops in Washington, PA tasered a man to death so they could keep him safe.

And they're going to 'investigate' (clickity poppity)
