I'd rather have been Rick Roll'd. It was okay. Although the best part was Hannity feigning confusion " 'I'm human, not perfect.' W-w-what does that mean? "

I can't wait for Hannity to become involved in his own public scandal.

Tiger woods is worth, what? A few million dollars a year? And now if he divorces, he has to give up half of that, and probably more. I don't understand people who think it's so much better to cheat rather than just be honest. Men, if your wife really loves you, she'll let you have a girlfriend if you need one. Clearly, Mrs. Woods wasn't getting the job done.

I should write advice columns.

Tiger should have made a point of talking to Wilt Chamberlain before he died.

/as 1/6 of humanity is now descended from Ghengis Kahn, 1/6 of hummanity will be descended from Wilt hundreds of years from now

I think Jon and his staff just had the muppets playing over and over in their head and they said screw it let's do that song too.

Given Tiger's reputation for "lawyering up" for just about every aspect of his life, I'd be willing to bet that he has a robust prenup. She'll no doubt receive more than most of us will earn in our lifetimes, but there's no way she'll get even close to half.

even if she got half the guy could still swim in a fresh pool of money every day for the rest of his life.

The amount that I don't care is immeasurable.

Well, okay maybe a little bit about the blond and brunette he took in to his hotel suite.

Aaaaaand, well maybe about the prenup figures.

Do you think he crashed his enraged and drunk because he was fighting with his wifey about banging two at a time?

Other than that I really don't care and it's stupid to even tune in to this sort of infotainment.

Just give the man some privacy!!!

They must have some really cute kids. Are there photos???

Not watching it.

Anything that is a Bohemian Rhapsody parody 17 years after Wayne's World reeks of hack-job writing.

2009-12-02 10:19:53 PM
You could write volumes about the obsession that the American Public has with marital situations. Specifically those that turn sour. Involvement of other girlfriends or even better, hookers, is always a plus.

Going back, you've got Tiger, the Jon and Kate fiasco, Kobe Bryant, Bill Clinton/Lewinsky

Is it because of our own inability to manage a relationship well? Do we enjoy the suffering of others? Is it just an entertainment factor like a good soap? What the heck is it that drives us to obsess about these problems?

That's not rhetorical, I want a real discussion on this. I wanna know what it is so we can fix it

LoveRBS: Is it because of our own inability to manage a relationship well?

Yes.

Watching rich and famous people struggle in everyday relationships makes other losers feel better about their own ineptitude. A bit harsh, but It's true.

Bill Frist: "Tiger woods is worth, what? A few million dollars a year?"

LOL

Didn't Tiger Woods just recently cross the billion dollar mark of total income gained over his career counting endorsements and all?

Aracnix: Tiger woods is worth, what? A few million dollars a year?

According to this (http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/more/specials/fortunate50/2009/) he made 99 million last year. That's just in earnings and endorsements, dunno about investments or whatever.

Aracnix: Men, if your wife really loves you, she'll let you have a girlfriend if you need one.

Okay, maybe this was just a troll?

Not necessarily. My wife wouldn't mind at all. In fact, she gets turned on watching me flirt with girls (and a lot more, but that's for another thread). The funny thing is I've got a total greenlight for a side piece but don't want anything to do with it.

2009-12-02 11:07:08 PM
Hey guys check this out. We played a midi version of bohemian rhapsody over several news clips and it wasn't in sync or anything. Please laugh now.

2009-12-02 11:11:45 PM
Ok just watched it.

Was more of an antagonizing reminder of why I hate the general media than something that made me LOL, but can't hit em all out of the park I guess.

2009-12-02 11:43:15 PM
Who. Cares.

2009-12-02 11:53:57 PM
I liked it, mostly because I've been doing a massive "WTF" all week in regards to coverage on this story. I just cannot understand why the MSM cares.

2009-12-03 12:08:40 AM
I'm usually impressed with the daily show's AV crew, but this was terrible

2009-12-03 12:19:21 AM
I didnt think it was that funny, but I did notice someone, I think from MSNBC or Fox say

"Well... where did the golf club come from?"

REALLY?

ITS TIGER FARKING WOODS AND YOU WONDER WHERE SOME LADY IN HIS HOUSE GOT A GOLF CLUB FROM? REALLY?

2009-12-03 12:43:59 AM
And now I'm reminded why I quit watching the daily show. FAIL

2009-12-03 12:49:18 AM
wow.

potentially interesting idea

horribly lame bad result.

were the clip voices supposed to match up in-time with the muzak version of the song in the background?

LoveRBS: Is it because of our own inability to manage a relationship well? Do we enjoy the suffering of others? Is it just an entertainment factor like a good soap? What the heck is it that drives us to obsess about these problems?

I think it's because we all know who Tiger Woods is and we have all dealt with a similar situation in some respect, so it's easy to discuss with our peers. It's simply a matter of common ground.

Also: slow news week.

2009-12-03 01:09:25 AM
I also find it mildly amusing that most of the coverage on this story is about why people care and how we don't care and how we don't understand all the coverage on it.

If you want it to go away, stop talking about it and stop clicking on stories about it. That is how you fix it, LoveRBS.

2009-12-03 02:11:36 AM
It was a good idea.

2009-12-03 02:55:36 AM
It wasn't as funny as I was hoping, but at the end I narrowly avoided spitting wine all over my computer screen.

That site sucks because they use a specialized video player that may not play for some people instead of a standard player already known to work for 99.9% of users. And I have the latest Firefox, Opera and MSIE.

Aracnix: Tiger woods is worth, what? A few million dollars a year?

A sports reporter on NPR yesterday morning said he was probably worth around a billion at this point. Endorsements.

I also clicked over to Nashville's NaziTalk Leader, 99.7 WWTN, for my two daily minutes of insanity. Some old white crank was complaining about Woods's silence, and said something to the effect of: "He comes into my house [via tv] pushing stuff, and I think that gives me a right to know what happened. I've got a vested interest in it."

lolz

America is funny. their heroes are sports nuts and hollywood barbie dolls, and lean, handsome nothing in their bain movie studs, yet when they get caught frkkking their brains out, then their so called 'image' is tarnished.

do the math. good looking, young, wealthy guys/gals are going to frkkk and frkkk like rabbits.

this is because everytime they step outside, someone will proposition them. all the Tiger has to do is whip out his cock and a chick will start sucking it. that is the power of money and good looks in america. that is capitalism. only money and looks count.

this is not rocket science, folks.

2009-12-03 10:18:02 AM
Yesterday I got in my car and sports radio was on. They were frothing at the mouth over Tiger. Come on. Golf is barely even a sport, fer chrissakes and this has nothing to do with the game. So I flipped over to the other sports radio station. More frothing. Then NPR - yet another Tiger story. At that point I just plugged in the iPod and drove home in peace.

Jon Stewart summed it up perfectly: "He's a man who hits a ball with a stick. I must know!!!"

Linux_Yes: that is the power of money and good looks in america. that is capitalism. only money and looks count.

Yeah. And it's totally unique to American culture. Nobody else in the world admires successful & attractive people.

Vast media coverage of Tiger Woods' penis' activities is not indicative of the downfall of western society. Get a farking grip, dude.

almandot: I think Jon and his staff just had the muppets playing over and over in their head and they said screw it let's do that song too.

Maybe that's why he sounds so much like Miss Piggy when he wraps up the tune....
