You can bet we are going to be sending a few surprizes Sadam's way in the near future

There ya go.

It was only a matter of time before Iraq came up as a major suspect. Doesn't really matter much to me. Nuke them too.

2001-09-19 12:39:36 PM
Hey...that called the terrorist a psychopath. Really?
Where's captain obvious when you need him.

I don't think the U.S. govt has identified our target yet. The Bin Laden thing has just been the obvious choice. We sholdn't be surprised at who ends up getting their neck stepped on first; I'm sure every resource of our government is focused on the best leads right now. I wouldn't be shocked at all if the news headlines tomorrow say "AMERICA PAVES IRAQ, OPENS NEW SUPER WALMART"

Janes is cool. I just wish I could afford a subscription.

But fark these car bombs. When we find out which house these idiots are staying in, send about 20 cruise missiles their way. Follow it up with some napalm and then maybe a mini-nuke "just to make sure".

I would actually be suprised if Iraq gave backing to this. Hussein may be delight in the havoc this has caused America, but I don't think he'd be foolish enough to support it. He would have to know that the US would discover his involvement, and then him and his government would be eliminated very quickly.

But who knows....

Who cares, Iraq has been a suspect from day one, and their government controlled media isn't helping their credibility any (they were saying (quote) "this is the fruit of america's crimes against humanity" - bbc tv broadcast).

I'm betting it was a joint attack between Iraq and the Taliban. I said it a couple times before, they would be stupid to attack a super power without backup, especially when they knew evidence could be traced back. Don't be surprised if more of the suspects come out from the cracks.

Fooshnik: Yeah, Janes is very cool. When I am filthy rich, I will subscribe to them. :)

Fb-: Trust me, there are richer trolling grounds on the Internet than Fark. I highly suggest Slashdot.

Much of this article seems to ring true. I've found it difficult from the start to believe that Osama alone could have masterminded and bankrolled what happened last Tuesday.

Throw Iraq into the mix and somebody the hard-ass Israeli secret service calls a "psychopath" among terrorists -- meaning he must be a psychopath the likes of Jeffrey Dahmer -- and things start to make more sense.

And with all the long, drawn-out negotiating over whether or not they're going to extradite Osama, don't you think he's had plenty of opportunity to escape? Do you think he's just sitting there waiting for them to make up their minds?

Nothing would delight me more than to find out that all this fuss and noise over Osama and the Taliban was a big smoke screen to divert attention from a massive retaliation against Iraq that would make Desert Storm look like a Boy Scout jamboree.

Maybe we could craft a two-pronged pike, with one prong for the head of Saddam and the other for the head of bin Laden. I'd gladly carry it down Broadway.

You guys are way to farking sensitive if you think what I post is a troll. You guys need a sense of humor. I thought the whole point of this place is that it isn't like /. or plastic, where every amusing or off topic post isn't considered a troll. Clearly I'm wrong again.

Wow, why is Janes so expensive?

2001-09-19 01:51:48 PM
Here is a thought, perhaps the whole bin laden deal is a distraction from our real response to the terrorist attack which is the rock Iraq. Perhaps, a bunker buster nuke. I hear that they can get about 80 ft into Sadam's bunkers. Plus his two sons Quasy and Qusai are farking insane. So perhaps they are jocking for position to take over. If the US finds that Iraq did it then we might just take out Sadam for them. Then it would be like Mad Max two men enter one man leaves and the winner takes Iraq....

Wow you get 51 issues a year of the defense mag? Sheesh. I guess they give you a whole lot of info and goodies. Least i hope they do for that price

2001-09-19 02:17:21 PM
Roche: Well, they're cheaper than running your own version of the CIA or NSA or MI5.

2001-09-19 02:24:09 PM
Janes is expensive because of its corporate customers in the defense industries really do use their info for strategic planning (passing on the cost to their Govt. customers). The type of information is also quite expensive to gather - their international stuff is amazing.

2001-09-19 02:26:16 PM
I wonder is Husaine subscribes to Janes? That's how he always avoided the smart-ass bombs.

We really need more theories and speculation.

2001-09-19 08:51:11 PM
Theory - Saddam and the Taliban are now allies.

Speculation - Saddam and Arafat are lovers.

Satistifed?

2001-09-19 08:52:10 PM
er.. satisfied

2001-09-19 08:58:44 PM
Speculation No group will take responsibility for this

Theory Osama Bin Laden likes little boys

Fact... He will be dead within 4 months
