Let's see how long that lasts. Cutting albums alone won't keep you around, just look at Alice In Chains.

2001-09-19 09:48:51 AM
This guy's an arrogant piece of shiat - was quoted years ago saying Oasis was more talented than the Beatles.

i really don't think there is a bigger i'm-so-tough, bloated ego, no talent, bickering piece of shiite band out there today

2001-09-19 09:57:29 AM
Oh please say this is true, please, please please be true.

2001-09-19 09:57:59 AM
Liam Gallagher? No!!!!!! However will we get along without him?

2001-09-19 09:59:51 AM
"Into my big mouth, you could fly a plane..."

Why does everyone here hate Oasis so much? Liam's living the farkin' rock star lifestyle - he's allowed to be arrogant! More power to him. Oasis rocks. They don't care what anyone thinks.

Although I must say I disagree with asking stars how they feel - who the fark cares how they feel? Why does their opinion matter more than mine, or better yet, more than someone who was actually involved in this tragedy?

2001-09-19 10:01:17 AM
We hate Oasis because... well, they're rubbish. And from Manchester.

2001-09-19 10:03:25 AM
That Manchester comment is just a relic of the natural distrust of Britons from the other side of the North/South divide. It's nothing personal.

2001-09-19 10:05:38 AM
I love Oasis's music, but I hate the band. That's a distinction I made a long time ago.

And to add, if I understand right, the culture of celebrity and success is much different in Britain than in the US. It is acceptable, if not normal that arrogance is a privelage of success for young British men.

Can't remember the exact reasoning, but Rolling Stone did a great story on it and I'm sure some of the British posters can explain it...

2001-09-19 10:12:31 AM
Neither a privelage OR a right.

They're arrogant because THEY feel they earned it. And their parents sold them drugs. And there is a crisis of faith in the western world. And El Nino.

2001-09-19 10:14:43 AM
Simple - british people have respect (albeit grudging) for you if you are arrogant
You have to have something to be arrogant about though, and what better than being the biggest rock star in the world (for a while anyway)
Its just the British way I guess - we are a strange lot

2001-09-19 10:15:54 AM
"I ain't f***ing going to New York again. I'm never going to America again man..."

We are gonna hold you to it MAN...

2001-09-19 10:19:32 AM
British arrogance should be a civilised, understated kind of arrogance. Like the arrogance that comes from knowing that although, you have the worst cricket team in the world, you invented the farking game.

2001-09-19 10:20:05 AM
Wow... There's a whole lotta rationalization going on here to try to explain away the fact that the guy's a nimrod... The irony, pop music lovers being the lot they are, will buy many more albums with stoopid commentary like this. Teenage losers (if they know of Oasis at all any more) will eat this kind of stuff up. Tennage- uhm, winners?- will hopefully have enough sense to ignore him and he will fade away like that other guy who sang, and those other folks who made some music or whatever it was back when, you know, that thing happened with the stuff... Liam, who?

2001-09-19 10:23:52 AM
Liam -farking Ian Brown wannabe. Cant sing cant play any instrument.

Noel was the 1 man team. (Whats the story) morning glory was good and the 1 before that was okay. Everything else was so tripe. And they were always twats. You can be arragont when your selling millions. Bbut when you written anything decent for years, its time to have a drug overdose, check into the priory and get checked for depression.

2001-09-19 10:24:17 AM
I think everyone's been very effectively ignoring Oasis for a while now. The go and do a stadium tour every so often, release the same album again with a different cover, but no-one pays much attention. Eventually they all crawl back into their hole.

2001-09-19 10:24:48 AM
(sp.)

2001-09-19 10:26:16 AM
sinikal - you are dead right
It even used to annoy me how he sung upward into the mike like ........ well you know
I like the cricket team thing as well, although if you were to take that to extremes, America might be richer, more successful and moe powerful, but we populated the place
;^)

2001-09-19 10:26:52 AM
I feel safer knowing Oasis won't be playing in NYC anytime soon, I tell you what.

2001-09-19 10:29:28 AM
Wait a minute, is this the guy who bought the Norellco Electric Razor company? I'm confused.

2001-09-19 10:29:52 AM
If it walks like a cat
Meows like a cat
Purrs like a cat

Must be a pussy.

2001-09-19 10:37:48 AM
He can take the train to France. They deserve him.

2001-09-19 10:38:15 AM
